Tim Thomas Could Soon Be a Maverick

For some reason, Mark Cuban wants to employ the immortal Tim Thomas: “The Mavericks will visit with NBA forward Tim Thomas today and if things go well, they may sign the 12-year veteran, an NBA source said Monday.”

    The mavericks would be really nice if it was 2005. But nevertheless, I can’t say they haven’t improved this off season. Does anyone think that Denver is losin ground in the western conference. Seems everyone around them is improving.

    For some reason I think Denver will fall off just like N.O. did a couple years back.. Anyways even though Tim had the potential, he can still produce a bit, right? like 4 and 3 in 10 mins?

    Hornets didn’t fall off a couple of years back, they fell off just last year. That was due to injuries and a bench that absolutely sucked.

    The Nuggets still have a solid starting lineup and of course Chauncey Billups. The Nuggets may not be as powerful as last year, but they are still going to be fighting for a top 4 seed in the West next year.

    @ boing: I’m feeling you on that one, but if you compare the deal that he just wrapped up as compared to “part of a MLE” it doesn’t seem like it would be worth getting out of bed for $2 million a year. I’m just sayin, when he was getting paid (i.e., stealing money) it made sense for him to pretend that he was an NBA player. This suggests that he actually still thinks he is one.
