  Z, i really think the analysts just come up with crap when they say that about Collins. in reality, they should just be saying “this guy is garbage, but he’s good for 6 fouls a game… you should see his lesser brother though…”

  best move yet.i have just jumped on the hawks bandwagon. Prediction: Hawks win 4 straight championships, Collins wins MVP, and Collins gets 10 yr $300 million extension. u heard it here first, mark my words.

  while VA is clearly high, I can’t knock Collins as a backup. If he ever has to play significant minutes because of injuries or w/e then you have a problem Hawks fans.

  ok for a third stringer. atl has had horrible depth for a few years so to me an inside rotation of Smith & Horfod backed up by Joe Smith, Pachulia and COllins seems like an upgrade

  Its funny how ppl are knocking this..I mean the Hawks have made some quiet improvements this off season with Crawford, Teague, Joe Smith, and now Collins. They might not be the big name free agents but they add depth to an already strong starting five. Something that Atlanta lacked deeply. If anything it will help them but it won’t make them worse.

  Im not trying to knock them.. I think no id is right, and they do have a better team then they did a year ago, should once again make playoffs and lose to Bos,Orl or Cle.
