Straight from the horse’s mouth, or Twitter feed: “Well I am about to begin another workout session. Agent informed me that Memphis made us an offer on yesterday. Stay tuned.”

    Sad to see A.I. career ending like this….Memphis, where he should be a mentor to kids..but he will show them where to party at sorta how he did in Denver. If he goes their chemistry issues will be interesting to watch..

    Iverson deserves to be with a championship worthy team, he gives 100% in every game, he has hunger, determination and great energy, who would not want him??

    Terrible fit. It’ll slow down Conley’s maturation. Considering that they passed up on very good pg’s in the draft…it’s a weird move. And you can’t have 4 guys hunting shots.

    ugghh…that is awful – A.I. in Memphis.
    no no no he needs to take his act down to Charlotte and try to rekindle some of his popularity and put some of this supposed maturity and selflessness on display with the Bobcats who are in dire need of some offense – someone, anyone who can get their own shot.
    Memphis has no need for A.I. with Gay and Mayo and Conley.

    I rather seem in as a Bobcats player. Why would he go there unless they said he can start at PG. He can start over OJ Mayo, but Mayo should start also. So his only choice is start a PG. But they said he can’t they won’t let him start. So why in the world would he come of the bench for a loser when he can for a title team? Heck he can start for some title teams I think like the Cavs/Magic but that is another story. I hope AI does not go to Memphis.

    Memphis would be a good fit for AI. Being surrounded by Gay,Mayo,Z.bo,Thabeet,Gasol.. He wont have as many responsibilities as he did in Philly and Denver. Plus Conley is a pretty good back-up and eventual starter….

    I still don’t know why he wants to go to Memphis. It would be a disastor and ai would get blamed. They would finish 11th in the West. Charlotte with Coach Brown would be great because the Bobcats could make the playoffs if they let Iverson play like Iverson. That deal was supposed to signed by today? But I guess the Bobcats were probably offering like 2 million compared the Grizzlies 5.85 mill. Iverson needs to forget the money and do whats right.

    This is going to catapult Memphis past Golden State as the most dysfunctional team in the league. And most certainly push Rudy Gay (and possibly Mayo) out the door when free agency comes. oh well, they’re a profitable team and that’s all they care about.

    Mayo has said repeatedly that he wants to play the point…and he’s a good shooter. So why would this NOT work? Conley did well in the end of last season, but he’s clearly not in the Grizz’s plans.

    Tavoris: Trust me this wouldn’t work. They are all guys who excel when they score. Zach,Mayo,Rudy,Iverson are all scorers and Iverson has been to good of a scorer his career to let youngsters pass him by. They would not move the ball or anything. A.I. is trying to prove doubters wrong but it isn’t going to work on Memphis. I hope A.I. signs with the Bobcats (hopefully this situation works). But I hope he signs before training camp because the last 3 years the team Iverson’s been he has missed training camp!. Last year with Pistons he wasn’t there but he was injured in Denvers training camp and did not go much. The year before he was traded mid-season so he wasn’t in training camp with his actual team.

    What is going on with AI? I thought he was close to a deal with The Bobcats. I am getting frustrated now. This has to be a better offer than The Bobcats. Ofcourse the Bobcats don’t have money and they are up for sale. Look like Dime Magazine wasn’t reliable. Both teams have a lot of talent. Anyway I think the East is as strong as the West.

    Well, it makes more sense than pairing him with D-Wade (didn’t work with Melo, why would it work there?). On the downside, he’ll never see the Conference Semi’s the rest of his life.

    I thought he was an LA Clipper last month with a Miami Heat special request from Pat Riley if I didn’t know any better it seems like he playing the role of his own damn agent slash I don’t know where the hell I might end up sort of scenario.
    Like I said in June he should go to Miami with more established vets. Quentin Richardson trade was an underrated pick up despite breaking a record for gettin traded 4 times in two months. Peace!
