    Celtics, Daniels Finally Agree

    The long wait for Marquis Daniels is nearing its end. According to sources, the Celtics expect to sign the 6-foot-6 swingman tomorrow to a contract for the biannual exception. The delay in getting Daniels officially into Green was caused by the team trying to work out a sign-and-trade that would benefit both the Celts and Indiana, the club Daniels is leaving.

      “he long wait”… nice.
      What sign and trade? There is no link to the site either.
      BTW, just quietly, this CONFIRMS the Celtics as top 3 in the East.

      Hasty Hursty.
      But yeah, Cs are looking pretty good for next year. That said, if they don’t win it this year, I see their window fast closing.

      Daniels brings some defense to a team that was severely lacking in that department…seriously though Boston is gonna be scary next year

      If or when it becomes official with Daniels, Boston will have a pretty nice bench. @Mike, Boston is known for being a defensive beast with KG healthy.

      Man, Im just afraid Boston will be too old to play effectively in the coming years. But Daniels as a backup will for sure help them stay fresh

      @Seth: I was being sarcarstic

      This is a really good move although Marquis kinda disappointed me when he played the finals against Miami. But I think now they have a real good swingman for their 2nd unit because I was so tired of Tony Allen and all his bad decisions…

      Good move by Celts. Hopefully injuries aren’t an issue next year. I would love to see the Celtics in the finals again.

      We look real good and I can’t wait until the season starts!! I pray everyone stays healthy ALL season on ALL of the teams. I want to see battles at full strength. Forget the refs and play ball!

      Celts vs Lakers anyone?

      Good grief Boston is loaded!! I’m talking about three hall of famers (is Ray Allen still there? I haven’t been keeping up with the trades and stuff) A growing pg (Rajan Rondo) some good guys coming off the bench along with Rasheed Wallace, they’re gonna be something else. Now you add Marquis who is a decent player once he gets hot, don’t know who’s gonna stop them in the East.

      good fit. Daniels was the 2nd best player on the Pacers for much of last season due to injury. While he wont have such big of a role this year on the Celtics, he now has a shot to help the Celtics win another title.
