Steve Nash Discusses Life After Hoops

The former MVP has plenty going on in his life to keep him busy after he stops dribbling a basketball: “The thing about being a professional athlete that I think is lost a lot of the time is what a huge crash it is to finish your career and try to find a pursuit of some sort afterwards,’ he said. ‘One thing that’s happened to me in the last couple of years is I’ve started to consciously create opportunities for myself off the court that can live much longer than my basketball career … I would urge any athlete to just be open-minded and broaden their possibilities while they’re playing so when they finish playing they have some passion and some opportunities to do some other things.”‘

Nice one Chazz. The only thing that looks dumber than somebody posting “firsteeezzzz!!!” is when they aren’t.

McNashty best keep his post-career plans pretty close to the vest, lest Shaq-Fu catches wind of them

There’s a Steve Nash fitness club around here but they don’t allow you to do squats as it may cause you to be a better defender.

Can’t imagine him leaving, best point guard I have ever seen.
    1. Steve Nash
    2. Allen Iverson
    3. Chris Paul
    4. Shaq ( He just makes it good )

Good joke but squats would break Nash in half after seeing him lay down on a towel in front of his bench during those playoff games to rest his back. I see Nash being a spokesman for BowFlex or Nordic Track though. Him & Chuck Norris or Wesley Snipes.

ShaQ can’t badmouth Nash until ShaQ Vs is over…Nash is one of the executive producers. Or maybe, he just doesn’t have anything bad to say about Nash

Whatever Nash will do after basketball, my guess it will be entertaining, somehow, someway.

    awesome player and person

Well being from his hometown i really hopes he comes back and plays some ball on his charity court. also nash and Shaq will never badmouth, the only reason shaq had a decent season was because of nash he set him up ALLL day. and speaking of nash doing squats ive seen him do wall sits and chest pass it all the way to the other end of the court not push pass, chest pass thats power!

Steve Nash is one of the most intelligent sportsmen/businessmen in the NBA.

  • Dacre Posted: Sep.13 at 10:43 pm
…and even though we’re discussing life after ball, this season he’ll put up 18 an 12 whilst amar`e goes for 30 and 10.

  • Enigmatic Posted: Sep.14 at 12:52 am
