    Kareem Has Leukemia

Cap says he’s known about the disease for a year, and sounds optimistic and clear-headed about his battle: “Like many patients found to have this particular strain of leukemia, Abdul-Jabbar learned he had the disease while it was in its early phase. ‘In order to really deal with this situation, you have to find a specialist and follow their instructions,’ he said. ‘You have to take your medication; you have to get your blood checked regularly so that you can be monitored … It’s something that can be managed,’ he said of his disease. ‘You can continue to live a productive life without changing your lifestyle that much. It does not have to be a death sentence.”’

Although it’s completely inappropriate: I blame Bynum.

Well, at least he is blessed with enough funds to take care of it.

This made me really sad when I heard about it. I just finished reading Oscar Robertson’s autobiography (which all of you should check out) and he and Kareem are two cats I’ve always admired.

this might be one of the reasons why him and bynum stopped working together. maybe he decided he need to rest. either way get better cap.

    • Anton Posted: Nov.10 at 1:05 pm
      Get well soon

    • Klav Posted: Nov.10 at 1:28 pm
Idk what some of you guys are talking about but I agree with Syk. when it was reported that Bynum wasn’t going to work with Cap it was reported that it could also be the working of management…possibly because they knew he had cancer??? Some people aren’t using their heads.
