Larry Hughes’ Turn to Moan About D’Antoni
At this rate, even the Knick ball boys will have voiced displeasure with the coach by season’s end: “Nate Robinson’s return to the lineup has come at Larry Hughes’ expense and the veteran guard isn’t happy about it. ‘It’s not a good way to play a season, going back and forth,’ said Hughes, who did not play in the Knicks’ 132-89 victory over the Pacers Sunday night. ‘This is my second or third time now (getting benched). It’s getting old.’ Hughes objected to the fact that Mike D’Antoni has not addressed his role with him. Hughes has been benched for two straight games. ‘It’s easy to communicate with a grown man,’ Hughes said. ‘It’s a long season and you always want to have dialog and talk things out. I definitely want the dialog. Let guys know where they stand and you can voice opinions on both sides. There’s nothing wrong with voicing an opinion because they’re not facts. It’s what you’re thinking and how you’re feeling. Just to have communication, I think, goes a long way in this league.”‘

LOL
I’m sure Mike is shaking in his booties that Larry will opt out of his contract. Mike is actually doing him a favour by giving him DNP-CDs rather than letting him play 10 to 15 minutes in garbage time, because it boosts his PPG averages.
All the Players that moan about him don’t have a championship ring either .
If you look at D’Antoni’s bio you see that he has seen a lot and accomplished a lot as player in Europe and as a coach in the league.
Hard to build a team if the media likes soap operas .
Poor fans.
Not the kind of attitude that’s got many players INTO the NBA though, so expecting them to take that attitude once they’re there isn’t really very fair. Also being benched without explaination is a great way to remove a player’s confidence and conditioning – it doesn’t make them better. (Nate’s 41 being all the more exceptional, btw.)
PLAY EDDDDYYYYY CCCCCUUUUURRRRRYYYYYYYYYY
lol
Tonight 36 minutes, 4 points, 4 turnovers
Robinson, benched for a month
Hughes, plays all December, best Knicks December in over a decade, then you bench him while he watches Duhon start every game this year, play over 30 minutes (with games without a single basket) and you do not expect Hughes or Robinson to be upset? No coach would play a player this poor, the worst stats of any point guard. Hughes, 5 inches taller was in top 5 in steals in the NBA in December, then you DNP him? Hughes played out of position as a point guard and took the Eastern Championship with Cleveland. Only 30, but 12 years in the league. What D’Antonio is doing isn’t going to kill any chance of going deep this year, but one superstar, maybe two, but you need other players and the word is out that this guy plays favorites even if it cost the team a win. That does not fly with players who want to win. Three Knicks players agents have asked for a trade this year, Hughes was not one. Jordon Hill, 8th pick, can’t play. Any top ten pick contibutes their first year. this is a big bust, D”Antonio, Walsh, A coach who only experience is coaching High School (D’Antoni’s brother). WOW, what a story and the New York Press doesn’t see it or read stats and minutes?
2010 is being ruined, no one that can contribute off the bench will play with this type of fav players starting every game. Duhon, shut out, no points with 30 plus minutes. Any other Knick besides Gallo (another overrated DA player, would sit a tad. Get this cat a bus ticket. Patrick, we need you now, buy out DA and the bro.
