  Yeah so I watched that game. I’m 50-50 on the no “wolfing rule.” KG is one of my favorite players of all-time, but I can only imagine that playing against him is a pain. He’s non-stop w/ the talking. To the dude he’s facing and to himself, lol. And eventho Dray had a slow start, he was giving the C’s and Garnett the business in the 3rd and first part of the 4th. KG was the one flustered right until the end. Dray also didn’t fling KG to the ground. If u watch the replay, KG just fell awkwardly, because he was already off balance. The foul was fairly clean, all ball up top, some body on the bottom. I missed the post-game, so I don’t know about how he was talking to the reporters. But I will side wit Flip to a degree, u gotta watch getting pulled into a back and forth like that, with a dude of KG’s caliber. Because its no secret, that he thrives off of it. They have a bit of a running history though, nothing major. But this isn’t the first time there’s been an issue.

  @martymcfly what are you talking about? Blatche has been in the league for a little over 5 yrs now and he is finally showing signs of a decent NBA player. I would rather have Garnett at his age than Blatche. KG is intimidating for most of the league.

  Andray is a man just like KG. If you back down, because he’s a veteran, than you’ve lost respect. KG picks and choses who to talk trash with. See how much trash he will be talking, when they have to go packin, cause the season is over. Also KG was 0-7. He should shut up. He hasn’t went 0-7 since his rookie season.

  I saw the game and the post interview and Blatche didnt seem like he was about to cry at all. He was going right back at KG with the trash talk. He was just upset that he missed that shot at the end and they blew the game. He was also upset at the reporters asking him about what Flip said to basically keep his mouth shut. Blatche was saying that he wasnt going to back down and if someone is right in your face then he’s going back at him. I think he’s tired of hearing Flip diss him over KG all the time and blaming the loss on KG’s trash talk. Its quite the opposite of what this story says. Blatche said that he’s a man and doesnt fear any other basketball player so he’s going to go right back at them. This writer sounds like he just loves KG and let Flip’s comments boost his head into hearing something that he wanted to. Dray was just upset over the L and the late miss. However, I disagree with others on here about KG’s trash talk. Who cares really? If thats what he does then thats what he does. That doesnt change anything. As an opponent you just have to make him eat those words. Growing up there are guys who talk smack all day on the court. Just give it back to em and double it by skooling them at the same time

His card has been pulled numerous times, most notably back in 2008 when ZaZa Pachulia was ready to beat his ass on the court here in ATL during the playoffs.   In the League you have to be mentally tough. If you’re not, you will be exposed. I disagree with Flip. Do you want your soldier to get overwhelmed in battle? Were there any taunting techs called? But in Flip’s defense, he has a natural affinity for Garnett. But he should have gave it to Blatche in the locker room, not on the mic. Just my opinion.

  I love KG, been a big fan of his for years but his antics are starting to bother me. Yeah he’s being a jerk, but the thing that bothers me is that these antics are what he’s starting to be known for and not what a great player he was. He has NOT been like this his whole career contrary to what some say. He’s always been a bit of a jerk, but not this bad, and he used to have game to back it up. Now he just hobbles around the court being a jerk, its not the same.

  lmao at people who say KG didn’t back up his trash talk. obviously he had an absolutely terrible game offensively, but his team played swarming D in the final minutes and the Wizards looked scared and helpless as sh*t. the C’s won, and while it wasn’t overall a good game for them, KG’s D and hustle was a big part of why they won. i call that backing up your trash talk.

  It’s that time of year. Games starting to mean a little more, players get chippy. It seems Garnett is a jerk who insists his teams play cocky and with a sense of intimidation. This is not the first time we’ve heard a player say that it went too far and it got disrespectful. The C’s may need to perfect that tactic because this group may not win a playoff series.

  Those were funny…KG is basically the same now as he was in Minny. There is a lot of trash talking from a lot of players, even players who haven’t earned it. Vets normally talk more trash to youngsters b/c it’s easier to get into their heads not b/c they are afraid of other vets. G Payton used to do the same thing as did Bird and Barkley etc etc. This KG ventfest is almost as bad as calling Kidd a punk for a crafty vet move against ATL…fan IQ gets lower every day. He has been doing this since the 90′s…The clapping in Calderon’s face was uncalled for and I DID say that at that time. We are older but dirty and classless? lol. stretch and exhale. I like AI & Artest’s game but to compare them to KG is a bit of a stretch. As far as I know KG hasn’t been kicked out of clubs, had numerous domestic disputes or gone into the stands brawling. Unfortunately trash talking is a bit part of the game and just like the Barnes kobe match up this weekend things get a bit heated. These are grown men and I’m sure 9 out of 10 times they are cool with each other after the game is over. I coach both girls and guys of all ages and non of my players talk trash b/c I never did as a player. they know that what they see on tv stays on tv. The guys are taught to open doors and speak politely and they can NOT wear their pants down around their butts or hoodies and hats on in doors. Classless…lol
