Brandon Roy Will Start for Blazers in Game 6

With Portland facing elimination, B-Roy and the Blazer front-office seem to believe his recently surgically-repaired knee is strong enough to play starter’s minutes in a Playoff game. From The Oregonian: “With their season on life support, the Trail Blazers on Wednesday said hobbled star Brandon Roy will be in the starting lineup for Thursday night’s Game 6 at the Rose Garden, perhaps the final dose of adrenaline before the team’s never-say-die heart beats for the last time. Phoenix has routed the Blazers by 29, 19 and 19 points while establishing that it has the better bench, the better power forward, the better defensive game plan, and more dynamic offensive players. ‘I’m going to go out there and try to leave it all out there,’ Roy said, noting that he won’t have any limitations on his playing time. ‘I’m just going to try and play as hard as I can and get to scoring around 20. I think it will be needed because Phoenix is playing at a high level right now.”‘
