Jason Terry: There Will Be a Game 7

The JET had a lot to say prior to last night’s game against the Spurs (“we feel we’re a better team than them”), and following the victory, he tells the Dallas Morning News that the Mavs will force a Game 7 in the series: “Terry predicted that the Mavs would return to the AAC for a Game 7, meaning of course they survive elimination in Game 6 in San Antonio: ‘No question. We’re coming back,’ he said. ‘We have to. It’s our mission. Our job is to go down there and get this win and come on back.”‘

    As in: produce on the court when it matters instead of mouthing off. The better players? Really? Dirk/Caron/Brandon/Ason/Shawn/JT are better than Tim/Toné/Manu/Richard/Mcdyess? Pundits would say they are, on paper. Well why are the Mavs on the brink of elimination then? And still yapping as if a game 7 was an easy thing to achieve. In German this is called: Grössenwahn.

    its gonnas be interesting though spurs are my team but timmy hasn’t been playing well as of late we need a big game form him cos the mavs are gonna come out pumped and its a bad idea going back upstate

    I really want the Spurs to take this since no one gave them a shot (me included) and the Mavs thought they’d just stroll through the 1st round.

    i would like to correct myself. hubris translates literally as overconfidence, which is obviously a synonym but not literally the same.

    Wait, Ginobili said there won’t be a Game 7, and JET said there would be. I think after the game, all the reporters need to gather around the wrong one and point their fingers at him and solemnly chant “liar, liar, liar….”
