Kevin Garnett: Suspended, Dissed

by Marcel Mutoni / @marcel_mutoni

The news came down from the League yesterday afternoon, and it wasn’t exactly shocking. KG’s elbow connected with Quentin Richardson’s face late in Game 1, a foolish act seen by millions around the world. Given its recent history and reactions to similar incidents, the NBA had no choice but to suspend Kevin for Game 2 of the series.

While there was really no question as to what his punishment would be, the only item of interest left was the reaction from others from Garnett’s behavior. Let’s just say that his opponents are less than impressed.

Joakim Noah, the floor is yours. From Chicago Breaking Sports:

“I’m going to say it: He’s a dirty player,” Noah said following Bulls practice Sunday.

“I don’t make the decisions,” Noah said. “But he’s always swinging elbows man. I’m hurting right now because of an elbow he threw. It’s unbelievable. He’s a dirty player. It’s one thing to be competitive and compete. But don’t be a dirty player man. He’s a dirty player. That’s messed up. I’m really excited about that (Heat-Celtics) series. It’s going to be fun. I hope they put (Jamaal) Magloire in.”

Jamaal Magloire is a rarely-used big man for the Heat, with the obvious implication that he would foul Garnett hard. “He knows what he’s doing,” Noah said. “It’s messed up. It’s wrong. It’s not right. And then after that to say … whatever I shouldn’t even be talking about this stuff. It’s crazy.”

It’s a shame the Bulls have virtually no chance of getting out of their series with Cleveland for the chance to meet up with the Celtics in the second round.

Q-Rich (whose bank account suffered a $35K hit from the NBA) also did not have anything nice to say about Garnett and teammate Paul Pierce, labeling the two of them as “actresses.”

The only person who seems to have anything nice to say about KG these days is Michael Beasley (who received compliments from the vet.) One gets the feeling that this will change as the series progresses.

Obvious decision, but what I wanna know is what Joakim Noah is doing in this story.

  • http://www.hibachi20.blogspot.com Hursty

It says alot about your status in the game when opposing players are happy to talk sh*t about you to the media (be it valid or otherwise, it’s irrelevant if a guy is still happy to run his mouth).
It’s a sign that he’s lost respect not only among the public, but his peers as well.

  • http://www.nba.com/suns Dacre

yeah?! when did Noah all of a sudden, become “man about town…”?

  • Ken

That was just dumb of KG. Passion is good, but this was dumb. Game was over, he’s a 15 year vet, he should have known better.

  • http://Slamonline.com Mvp23100

Ever since the kid left minneapolis he’s been dirty im still waiting for his nose to get broke

  • Mike

Noah needs to worry about beating (not being swept by) the Cavs…

  • http://www.twitter.com/NotebookNick NotebookNick

I used to be a Garnett fan, and I was glad to see him win one. Ever since, he’s had this asshole aura around him where he seems to think people should give him things because he won. Calls, respect, admiration. It seems like he works the same way, but just expects things, instead of earning them and talking to himself like he used to, he screams, whines and does junk like this.

  • http://www.twitter.com/NotebookNick NotebookNick

And as to Pierce rolling around, apparently he thinks he’s a Brazilian soccer player circa the mid-90s.

  • http://thekobebeef.wordpress.com LDR4

Garnett threw a bow because he said Q-Rich was talking trash to Pierce. Wait, Garnett cant take trash talk? All he does is run his mouth the entire game. Glad he can’t play in game 2.

  • Tim

Noah should stop talking and focus on basketball

  • http://slamonline.com Bryan Crawford

KG + SuperCoolBeas = Adidas Brotherhood
And as far as Joakim Noah, give the guy a break. He was asked what he thought about the incident and he gave his opinion. It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that people think that KG is dirty… Age + Playing on one leg + A loss of athleticism = By Any Means Necessary

  • spit hot fiyah

garnett has been annoying ever since he put his hand on fransisco elson’s nuts, one of the best of our generation, but also loosing respect by the minute it seems like….

  • mj23

This was a ploy by Pat Riley to have Garnett miss game 2. Riley has been known to use these type of tactics, and i bet you Q intentionally walked up to the Celtics bench to instigate something. UNFORTUNATELY, Garnett lost his cool and fell for it. Fairly or unfairly this gives an advantage Heat for game 2. Garnett had a fairly decent game, and was an impact defensively. The lane will be open for Wade on Tuesday.

  • http://www.springbored.net letsmotor

@LDR4: It’s one thing to talk trash while jogging back down the floor after making a good play (what KG does). It’s another thing to talk trash while a guy’s on the floor in pain. still, KG deserves the one game suspension. i don’t think this will make or break the series for either team, though.

  • http://www.dimemag.com Ree Roe

Glad to see KG routinely get called out for his b*tchassness. I hope this trend continues

  • http://theghostofroyhobbs.blogspot.com Mo Charlo

    But what does Sheed think?

  • http://slamonline.com Brad Long

Q-Rich is offically one of my favorite role players in the L.

  • stoz15

Its about time time every1 took notice of KG’s antics. He was nicknamed ‘the kid’ and rightly so because thats how he acts. He is a huge trash talker but he has never been able to take it! He is physical but can not take it! All you have to do is check out youtube and there is stacks of footage of him pulling cheapshot moves (slapping Tim Duncan in the back of the head for no reason! probs coz he knew TD wouldnt fight back!). Im defo not a KG hater! I just wish he wouldnt pull this b**ch ass p**sy sh*t.I mean he always does this then gets held back by his team and acts like a bigger knucklehead if they let him go he would not know what to do. But we live in a world where if you are marketable and friendly with the nba they will label you passionate! hahaha if that is passion then passion has no place on the court! ps. The league should fine players like Paul Pierce and Manu Ginobli for every dive they take!!!

  • http://Www.lkz.ch Darksaber

@notebook: or that jackass Cristiano Ronaldo ca. 2010

  • funkdoc

This is the right decision. I too started hating Garnett since he won that championship. Mather of fact, I think this whole celtics organization still thinks it’s 2008. It’s like they’re untouchable. C’mon, they finished freakin’ fourth in the league and it’s like pierce is mvp en garnett should have his jersey retired. Garnett is a b**ch. Hard, but still a b**ch. Noah is hard too, Shaq is hard, AND arrogant. But Garnett thinks he’s God and he only has one ring.
Besides, IF Q started talkin’ trash to pierce, that’s okay for me. Pierce is known for his fake injuries (remember the wheel chair) – and even if that hurted – he still probably overreacted. Something Q figured out in 2008.
    Go Miami

  • mj23

i agree with letsmotor, it’s classless to talk trash while a man is down with an injury. C’mon man, there were 40 secs left in the game, and the game was pretty much over. What did the Celtics have to gain? This is a Riley ploy, and he’s used these tactics in the past with the Knicks and Heat. Although Garnett has been injured this year, he did pretty well in GAme 1. Garnett will be missed in Game 2, but the fans and home-court should help the C’s pull out a win.

  • http://Www.lkz.ch Darksaber

Wonder what Brandy thinks of all this??

  • mj23

i wish Noah would keep his mouth shut, and worry about the Cavs.

  • kht

@mj23: Your theory would actually be sensible if it was indeed the Celtics bench…

Anyway on topic, both KG and Qrich got what they should’ve.
    Moving on…

  • Fat Lever

That’d be awesome if Riles suited up Peeler for Game 3 and told him to repeat what he did to KG if KG starts to act up. The thing that sux is that back in the 80s and 90s this was the norm in playoff basketball. To say that the league has softened up would be a massive understatement.

  • texaspete

video says it all. look at the end when mcdyess chases him.

  • Orlando Green

KG is a little b*tch…well a tall skinny b*tch.. but the none the less.. a true b*tch

  • http://www.slamonline.com/ niQ

So let me get this straight, KG talks trash all game, but can’t take trash talk himself? And aftering throwing an elbow, he runs away? Classy…

  • http://slamonline.com MooButter

Anyone saying Pat Riley planned this is delusional and giving the heat way too much credit. KG talks non-stop. Pierce is constantly talking too and has a history of “flopping”. No matter what anyone says on the court (trash talking), it doesn’t give you the right to throw an elbow like that. Glad he’s out. By all means, be passionate. Justdon’t be a dick.

  • tavoris

How do these same players feel about Dikembe Mutombo Mplondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo’s legendary elbows?

  • underdog

I blame Anthony Peeler for all this mess. On the other hand KG should be acting like pro, and not mess up his team’s chances. It was funny though, when last night Chuck said, that KG’d run away from the fight. That’s a diss.

  • http://shawn-kemps-offspring.blogspot.com Cheryl

I agree with Lang on his post, this year’s version of KG is just sad. Compare him to Timmy, who’s also on the downside of his career, and you get classy vs. classless. When their respective careers are over, they shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same sentence.

  • roman

KG, your an idiot- you probably costed your team the series. I thought they where gonna roll out PP infamous wheel chair. Bunch of clowns-

  • Tommy Patron

If Artest intentionally elbowed Jeff Green in the face or of Kenyon Martin elbowed Carlos Boozer in the face, would they be suspended for just one game?

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

Garnett needed to get suspended for throwing an elbow and then running like a pansy.
I always resisted calling KG out ’cause he has been my second favorite player in the league behind Iverson for years, but that was a punk move. He threw a HARD bow, and then started running on the slick. That was lame as hell.

  • BostonBaller

Dumb move by KG, deserved the suspension and whatever fine they hit him with. Predictable move by fans and certain players. When will a real allstar come out and say he is dirty or is it only the midlevel or lower players expressing their frustration. 1st it’s KG never talks trash to superstars (he does, ask LBJ) then it’s he only picks on small pg’s (ask Duncan and others) now it’s he slapped Duncan b/c he knew he wouldn’t respond. Which one is it folks? KG is certifiably nuts and if he were on your favorite team you’d love him…don’t lie!! I just happen to be a true fan and can admit his stupid move and still be glad he’s with us. This is a watered down league now but it is what it is….Bring on game 2!! PS, 90% of you would take Pierce on your team in a heart beat…

  • BostonBaller

Watch the tape closely, he didn’t actually run he was flung by QR’s teammate…will anything happen to O’Neal for his part in the “breaking up” of this situation…He and Haslem shoved Glen Davis into the chairs after Haslem used a bow of his own then later O’Neal again “”bulked” up on Davis. lol Who was the big guy for the heat being the enforcer? lol. Maybe we can sign him next year.

  • Diesel

To every idiot saying Noah should stop talking and focus on basketball…are you guys that dumb that you need to focus 100% of your attention on something 24 hours a day in order to accomplish it? The guy took 2 minutes to answer a question…plenty of time left to “concentrate on not getting swept”. And the reason he’s involved is because the bulls played the celtics 2 games ago and if you read the quote, KG played dirty then too. Not to mention the infamous way KG acted the entire bulls celtics series last year when he didn’t play a single second. The reporters asked him a question and he answered it. Its not like he brought the topic up himself.

  • stoz15

Has anyone else noticed J O’Neal’s uncanny knack for waiting till its really kicked off before he appears from every1s blind side to start throwing! check out his sliding overhand at the palace brawl!

  • T-Money

Noah should really stop talking but that’s besides the point. The Celtics have to be the least respected champions ever. I can’t believe that KG turned into a bully/frontrunner/total d-ck in the span of a few years. This was my guy throught high school. Damn, what happened?! I want ‘Sota-KG back!

  • T-Money

I have no issues with KG trash talking per se. To me, as long as you keep it about basketball, anything goes. However, from what the opposing players are saying, KG talks about moms and d-ck sh-t. It’s juvenile, disrespectful and classless. Why should his peers respect him?

  • Jake

I want KG to try these shenanigans on Shaq if they face each other,he’ll get knocked the f*ck out.

  • Sparker

didn’t q-rich have some thing going with the celtics when he was with the bricks? i think that’s the only other time i’ve seen his name in the press on a basketball-related story

  • Diesel

I used to like KG too. he went from hard-working, likeable guy to salty veteran with a dirty streak popping of mf’ers every 30 seconds. That all happend in like one offseason.

  • http://stapledesign.com Spaceship Jay

Co-sign Allenp; as I stated in another post, just the fact that KG threw a no-look elbow was enough to see that it was a punk move. If you can’t look in a man’s eye while being physically violent, then your a lame for doing it (*hood rule #346542). Shout-outs to Noah for the “On Court Confession.” Hilarious.

  • BostonBaller

It’s funny how Shaq got into this mix on a positive side when most of the time he is being criticized. Oh yeah, i forgot, we must use anything and anyone to “validate” our point. lol. I might have suspended KG for 2 games but I would also look closer at the tape to see who else did something other than “restore peace” . Noah can talk all he wants, it’s his right..and yes he was just answering a question, I say that all of the time but some of us only believe it to again “make our point” Fo4r those of you calling KG all of these names, what does that make you if you’d never say it to his face if given the opportunity? You’d probably shrink and ask for an autograph or say “your the best”. hahaha what does that make you?

  • Nawlins Realest.

kg loves to start sh*t with smaller players like calderon or jarryd bayless….but what happened when lamarcus alridge slapped him in the head?? NOTHING! kg didnt do NOTHING. what a b**ch.

  • BostonBaller

Hood rule? Come on man that is a worthless statement and co-signing someone who actually seems to know the game is lame..you know as well as I do that most dudes in the hood will sneak you in a hot second then shoot up innocent people if they think anyone “snitched”. Drive by’s are real manly right? Don’t bring the hood in to falsely validate a point that doesn’t need validation. KG’s elbow was stupid and he should have gotten the suspension (maybe 2 games since it was so stupid w/ 40 secs to go in a game) Punk is when you hide your face in court after committing murder or rape, that’s punk…hood rule my butt!!!

  • http://www.realcavsfans.com Anton

lol @ Wade pretending to care.
    *starts getting changed early*
“C’mon guys…stop it…seriously…we need to uhhh win? yeah, win this series. i expect everyone to step up..AHAHAHAH. but seriously, y’all make me sick.”
    *drives off*

  • riggs

the comments on here are hilarious, also joakim noah….stfu please.

  • hillbilly

I wonder how much royalty money Bill Cartwright gets whenever a guy lands a no-look elbow to the face of another guy.

  • Lupe

So KG Finally Got Suspended, yet this makes me question Kobe’s Elbow last year when he was trying to knock Artest’s head off!!! Double Standard here … But anyway KG deserved it

  • http://stapledesign.com Spaceship Jay

@BostonBaller; it makes me polite. Since the Anthony Peeler elbow back in 2004, I have had no fear of Kevin Maurice Garnett. Whatsoever. Sorry.

  • http://stapledesign.com Spaceship Jay

And Lmao @ Anton, that was funny because it sounds extremely true

  • http://www.twitter.com/dfrance21 dfrance21

Get real man. Everyone is on here bashing KG, but no one is pointing out the fact that QRich had absolutely NO BUSINESS being over there. KG was checking on his injured teammate and here comes Q acting like a d*ck. He wasn’t over there to see if PP was OK because they’ve ahd a little beef for years. He got what he deserved and so did KG for that matter.

And he didn’t really run as much as he got grabbed up by Magloire, plus all the pushing and shoving that O’neal and Haslem were doing.

  • http://stapledesign.com Spaceship Jay

My sincere apologies Bostonballer, that “hoodrule” comment was a joke.

  • barnabusb

The real question in all of this is: why the f*ck was Pierce laying on the floor like he was shot if it was his shoulder that hurt? Why not stand up after he fell down and walk to his OWN bench, holding the arm and asking for the medics? Why did he just lay there like it was a big deal when it wasn’t? The Celtics suck.

  • http://www.slamonline.com/ niQ

dfrance21. Do you really believe that? Do you really believe if someone is “acting like a d*ck” then they “deserve” to get elbowed in the face? Wow. This guy is trying to defend KG when KG is one of the biggest D*ck’s in the League…

  • http://www.slamonline.com/ niQ

For the record, even if someone is annoying the sh!t out of you it doesn’t mean you can go ahead and elbow them in the face. What are you going to say? He started it?
    Grow up.

  • The Philosopher

I just don’t understand this one. I mean, Garnett is this, that… but, HE CAN’T EVEN FIGHT ANYWAY!!!

  • BostonBaller

@bamabusb:Sometimes an injury has you stopped in your tracks regardless of where you are..If you’ve ever played sports on any real level you would know that even a “stinger” halts you and you just want to be left alone for a moment. @defrance: QR has every right to be there, it’s his bench, regardless of his intentions. @ Spaceship: No apologies needed, we’re just having fun man. There aren’t many real tough guys in the L. Remember my man Parish on Laimbeer? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idA9Vym1F54) He stood there waiting for him to get up and earlier when Laimbeer chocked Bird down Bird turns over and just starts punching him. Classic NBA. lol

  • LA Huey

@tavoris, nothing constructive here. Just love being able to repeat “Dikembe Mutombo Mplondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo”

  • http://www.twitter.com/dfrance21 dfrance21

@Niq are you saying he didn’t start it? Because if he hadn’t wanlked over there, none of that stuff would have went down. Thats just common sense. And yes, in this instance, he deserved to get elbowed in the face. I’m a Garnett lover and i’m not ashamed to admit it. There are a lot of Garnett haters on here, who if the tables were turned, would be saying “Yeah KG is a d*ck, he deserved to be elbowed.” So let me have my opinion.

  • Jalepino Sausage

BUT ANYWAYS K.G. a PUSS no doubt. Remember Group Home : Don’t talk the talk if you can’t walk the walk, The Crew Bringing the Ruckus No Doubt !!! comes to mind

  • Rob

KG keeps talking trash but he can’t back it up. He’s a b*tch. He doesn’t pick guys his own size, he picks guys his own weight. Now, Anthony Peeler elbowing Garnett was a beautiful thing. And I won’t even start talking about Paulina Pierce, the undisputed queen of wheelchairing. Those two downgrade this game. F*** em both.

  • BostonBaller

What if contributors to this site started “nit picking” the SPELLING of some of you and started labeling you with negatives? That would be wrong and petty but not being hooked on Phonics is a bit wrong too. I’m sorry to say not only are the big words but also the small words are picking on some guys. hahaha

  • tavoris

@barnabus-if something suddenly goes numb on you, any medic/trainer/doctor would tell you to immobilize yourself immediately.
@LaHuey-If they think Garnett’s elbows are dirty, then these kids would have been in tears trying to box out Mutombo

  • Jose

I remember him talkin bout “finally beating up the bully” once you beat up the bully, dont that make u the bully? thats what it looks like.cept this bully complains 2much and has a much bigger ego

  • BostonBaller

Since everyone thinks it’s so refreshing when a guy speaks his mind and gives an “honest” opinion to the media instead of hiding their feelings shouldn’t an elbow in plain sight be refreshing in contrast to all of the elbows thrown down low and behind the refs back? lol. Just kidding but it was too easy to pass up. Time to get back to making my minimum wage..

  • http://www.motherjones.com AndTheJellosJigglin

Only a bostonballer would think that was funny. Id like to say the leprechauns sold their soles, but alas they never had any.

  • erich

    @ dfrance
    Garnett’s Lover?

  • erich

I really have to read carefully before I submit my comment.

  • http://www.slamonline.com/ niQ

@dfrance. lol Wow. I guess there’s no point in trying to argue with someone who doesn’t understand that hitting someone is wrong. Just because someone deserves it doesn’t mean they should get it. Next time your boss pisses you off why don’t you elbow him in the face cause he “deserved” it? Next time someone cuts you off on the road, why don’t you rear end them cause they deserved it? Man, forget it, I feel like I’m talking to a 5 year old. He mentions common sense but doesn’t use it.

  • BostonBaller

@jigglinjello: Funny? What did I think was funny? What did you misunderstand, my sarcasm? AGAIN, i’ll say the KG elbow was dumb albeit not as hard as it looked or QR would have been TKO’d. That elbow was a 5 or 6 on a scale of 10 if you look at some of the other elbows thrown this past weekend in the heat of the battle. I’m the one who said I would have suspended KG for 2 games on general purposes alone (40 secs left in a win). I know the game, I’ve played the game, I’ve ref’d the game and I coach the game. When you come at me come strong or go home young fella or philly.

  • Donn

This suspension was long overdue in my opinion…Garnett’s been acting like a punk since he came to Boston and seems to be getting worse…

  • http://slamonline BossTerry

Kage has been one of my favorite players since his rook year. I would always be quick to defend him during whatever altercation in the past. With that said. I think the trade to Boston has changed him and he IS kinda a jerk now. Instead of being so intense now he seems to just try to act tough. I noticed last year when he came to Portland (which I had tickets for) after time-outs he would walk to center court with his towel and just drop it behind him slowing the game and forcing some ball-boy to run out there and retrieve it.

  • kboogie201

Q’s been having this beef with PP since his Knick days, they used to jaw at each other every time they played the last couple of seasons. I used to be a KG fan until he won his title, now he’s become a studio gangsta. I liked the fact that his act isn’t really working, and dudes is calling him out on it. Players like KG are the reason why I wish my man Charles Oakley was still playing. He’d straighten him out real quick.

  • http://idunkonthem.blogspot.com/ albie1kenobi

i wonder how bill russell feels about KG nowadays. would you still give him one of your rings?

  • mike tyson

i will never forget when garnett ran like a baby from mcdyess. he’s a punk.

  • jamaal16

Nobody is saying how q rich was following him to catch that elbow!

  • http://stapledesign.com Spaceship Jay

    ^^ Mmmm. That’s deep.

  • http://alan.george@gmail.com Breeze

Well the bigger outlook on this incident is what kind affect it will have on the series. Will it actually make maimi heat-up for this supposed upset or is it even a upset. Im looking forward to the response and I agree that one game is a susperstars suspension that elbow was fool!

  • http://www.motherjones.com AndTheJellosJigglin

@bostonbrawler. Correct me if I am wrong, but you thought your joke was funny, hence the “lol” Or does that stand for Little Obese Leprechaun? Im glad you think you “know the game” I never said that you did not know it, or play it, or officiate it. Youre making light of dirty elbow throwing, and its not funny to me, that is all. Have fun with your minimum wage! Ill stay home and keep making great money. Thank you, fella or philly, keep coming strong.

  • http://www.kb24.com The Seed

Wheelchair Pierce is not from Englewood, acting like that, plus Garnett is a skinny punk, everybody knows its, he never trys his baby games with dudes who will get him. Always shorter dudes, The Celtics and Garnett are one trick ponies. thats it. Dennis Johnson is rolling over in his grave with players like Garnett on their team.

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

    Boston Baller
I don’t think the elbow was that lightweight. That was a nice elbow, you could see how Q’s face changed up that it really stung. And, unlike Mutombo or Cartwright, KG ran AWAY.
That dude was damn near skipping to get out of the scrum!
That’s lame. I mean, at least Mutombo would look at you all innocent. KG was running away like he was trying to calm things down. Just fake. I think Q was getting ready to bruise him.
Like I said, I was and still am a KG fan. But, the Peeler incident (which I originally game him the benefit of the doubt for) along with the Zaza thing from last year and Garnett’s penchant for turning down the volumne when he’s around certain cats is starting make me wonder about him.

  • http://www.motherjones.com AndTheJellosJigglin

Paul Pierce is the worst head first dribbler in the league. I used to be a Celtics fan but his play made me puke in my mouth several times a game. No wonder he got shanked by his own fans in his own town.

  • erich

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

Honestly, the league needs to stop it with these stupid suspensions. He elbowed Q in the face–okay. That’s why he got EJECTED. Was Q injured? No. Was it THAT big of a deal? No.
It’s the freaking playoffs for crying out loud! Tempers are GOING to flare.
Garnett’s ejection hurts the Celtics pretty d@mn badly…

  • http://www.kwapt.blogspot.com KobeWearsAPurpleThong

I was at the game and knew KG or ‘Sheed would do something dumb like this as soon as the melee started. I am a huge Ticket fan but agree that it was such a bad choice to do that-the fact that it could’ve cost them the game just makes it worse. But I do have to disagree w/those claiming he “ran away.” He was pushed away actually. Very disappointed in Ticket. Still a fan though? Yes. Any Celtics fan knows that this team has lacked fire (putting it mildly)this year and if this is what it takes to wake a sleeping giant, so f***ing be it. Go Celtics.

  • http://www.kwapt.blogspot.com KobeWearsAPurpleThong

@AndTheJellosJigglin Whoa whoa…whoa. You’re kidding right? Maybe you should Google “Roscoe Ragland.” Or “Trevor Watson”. Far from “fans.” Idiot.

  • barnabusb

@Teddy: If you could just get ejected and then come back to play in the next game, there’d be flying elbows left and right in the waning seconds of the 4th quarter.

  • vic21

Noah is just mad cus he’s never going to be half the player KG IS let alone WAS

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

    barnabusb: Good point.

Haha KG just doesn’t wanna get old! :)

Noah is true but i always thought that it is unfair to blame KG for all this stupid/ugly behaviour throughout his career. Unlike Iverson (who is more on the lazy side) KG is clearly “not the smartest person in the world” (i don’t know how to say it more politely )which was the main reason he couldn’t fullfill his ‘once in a lifetime’ physical tools. Inteligence deficiencies (obvious to many KG on-court related insidents/habits/reactions) is not someones choice.
@Allenp…..:KG and “Anna” are you favorite all time players…??? I hope you are simply an “AACAP” member…(kiding)

@JelloJiggler: I’m correcting you b/c you are wrong. I did state that I was just kidding and be sarcastic. I wasn’t making light of the elbow, I’m the one who said he should have gotten 2 games. ps..the minimum wage was sarcasm also. Furthermore, you criticize me for supposedly making fun of an elbow in a GAME where no one got seriously hurt yet YOU wrote “No wonder he got shanked by his own fans in his own town.” Come on jelly, now that’s classless. I’m done with you.

@AllenP: Trust me, I know it wasn’t a light tap on the chin b/c I saw his head snap back but what I was saying was that QR didn’t go down for the count so it wasn’t Mutumbo elbow status. (I better not put lol) I also elluded to the fact that there are harder elbows thrown routinely every game that don’t get caught but KG’s was out in the open and just plain stupid. I hope that clears it up b/c AGAIN the elbow was dumb on many levels and KG deserved a suspension and fine. I do NOT think an elbow to the face (or any where else) is funny contrary to some beliefs.

@Niq you’re misunderstanding me. I never once said what KG did was right. Not once in any of my posts did I say that. I said QRich got what he deserved for being a jerk. KG shouldn’t have thrown the bow, it was the wrong thing to do, BUT i’m not upset that it happened.

Hey, if my boss acted like a jerk, and I can elbow him in the face and only get a 1 day suspension from work… I may have to consider it. lol.
