Report: Mike Brown to Be Fired Soon

Some in the media jumped the gun a little last week on the Brown firing, but everyone knows it’s only a matter of time until Mike is given the pink slip by the Cavs. The Plain Dealer has the latest: “Decision day hasn’t arrived yet but it appears everyone is preparing for it. The Cavaliers had not performed or scheduled exit interviews with players or coaches as of Monday. Once some or all of those take place, there will be a verdict on coach Mike Brown. But if that decision is a parting of ways, the sides are getting ready for it. According to sources, Brown and his coaching staff are preparing to be let go. Meanwhile, the front office and team owner Dan Gilbert are believed to be considering a list of possible replacements. While Gilbert said his evaluation period will last 7-10 days, it won’t likely last longer than that. According to multiple sources, there is a clause in Brown’s contract that changes his compensation for the remaining year of his contract if he’s let go more than 10 days after the season ends. All of the assistant coaches have a year left on their contracts as well.”

Cavs are in a tight spot here. Will any of the decent coaches who are out of work want to sign with the Cavs without knowing Lebron’s status? Will Lebron want to re-sign without knowing who the coach will be? That uncertainty is a negative, in my opinion. Come to NY Lebron. You know D’Antoni. You can average 40-15-15 in his system. You might not win a championship, but you’ll get to have lots of fun scoring lots of points and you’ll be in the ECF every year for sure.

LeBron aint goin to do better anywhere. Cleveland is a team built around him from the ground up. to leave would be one of the dumbest decisions ever to make by an NBA player. Also if he goes to NY he would not be able to make the Eastern Conference finals every year. hello! he has to make the playoffs and there horrible. for anyone who thinks he is going to leave his hometown im sorry you feel that way. Get your own star
