Nets Trading Chris Douglas-Roberts?

According to Yahoo!‘s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Nets are moving CDR to Milwaukee for a draft pick: “Milwaukee will give Nets the 44th pick in Draft for Chris Douglas-Roberts, league source tells Y!. Now Jersey holds Nos. 3, 27, 31 and 44.”

cdr to the bucks? talk about a pretty deep team if this goes through

In a deep draft like this one, the Nets could really score. But…CDR can only make the Bucks better. And they gave up their 44th pick? Bahahahahaha.

  • Kap

damn!!! He is worth more than a second round pick. The Bucks are starting to look nice…

an uh, maybe some insider trading type isht with someone posting as cdr commenting on the post about maggette being traded to the bucks, before this post went live? not sure what he means by count me in

    A win-win situation for both the Bucks and Nets, I suppose… :)

lastly, am i missing something from the maggette trade? did the warriors also throw in the 44th pick to the bucks? don’t think i seen that info anywhere

  • logues

so, the nets think that cdr is not better than a 44th pick? wasnt he a first rounder?

    Steal for the 44th pick.

    Uhm… where’d my comment go? :(

    Makin room for Wes Johnson.

as a Nets fan I’m really bummed that CDR is a goner. Would’ve liked to see him a a super sixth man. Really promising player, and the Bucks are getting stacked right now. Good deal for them.

Surely this just means the Nets have even less salary committed for a big free agency swoop. Means they should also get a decent, young role player/prospect.

    Co-sign The Seed.

  • LA Huey

Rondo’s playing catch-up to the Bucks if he wants next year’s Thief Crown.

Mr. Prokorov has 4 picks now, it will be interesting to see how well he uses them. I’d say they will end up with Favors or Johnson. There are pros and cons with both picks. Favors is raw, but if he pans out, he would be a killer 1-2 punch at the 4 spot alongside Lopez. You pick Johnson, and you get a proven player. He has the skills to be an NBA swingman. the next 3 picks should be to build around Lopez, in my opinion. I think he could be a great player. It’s going to be a really intersting draft. Can’t wait to watch it.

Bucks are biggest offseason winners so far, bye salmons

  • rainman10

The Bucks are getting good. I see them being better than the Hawks this coming season. The Magic should go after Salmons.

  • tmay

CDR and B Jennings in the backcourt. This should be a great addition and hopefully everybody will be able to see how good he is. I dont think people really know how good he is.

Salmons is a mercenary, you want to improve your team, make a run in the playoffs, sign this man, ask da bulls and deer

  • http://thephotoriot.com davidR

so, did the warriors also give the bucks the 44th pick in addition to maggette? as far as i know, it can’t be the 44th cause the warriors have that pick (they traded down to the blazers)

  • Fut,

They were already better than the Hawks; look at those 7 games with Kurt fluffing Thomas at the helm and no pure scorer.

  • http://slamonline.com Fut,

Oh, and Bogut for MVP. Redd, Jennings and Magette know how to get a man some rebounds.

So the draft will be just nj and okc taking turns

  • vlad

Salmons will probably be out of Milwaukee, and won`t sign to any team that wants him as a supporting player. He wants to be one of the stars of a team, and he really deserves it.

  • maclovenotwar

CDR couldn’t even hold onto a starting job with *the Nets* last season. I hope he does well in Milwaukee, but NJ needs to get that 12 win stink off of them.

Wow what a steal for the Bucks. yes CDR wasnt a started but that was only due to injuries if he’s back 100% he will be a force in Milwaukee next season. plus all they give up is the 44th pick so not really big steal.
