What’s My Name?

Russell Westbrook needs one.

Standing 6-3, Russell Russell WestbrookWestbrook isn’t the most intimidating of players—until he steps on the court. Besides Kevin Durant and the rest of the Thunder’s young squad (check SLAM 138 if you haven’t), RW runs the point for a high-energy offense. He averaged 16.1 ppg and 8 apg during the regular season and is a major reason why the Thunder went from 23 to 50 in the win column since his arrival from UCLA in ’08. The dude is balling and we need a nickname to accommodate him.

Whoever has the best nickname will win a dope prize from the SLAM vault and get their name in Trash Talk next month.

    Nickname would have to be “That Lil Rustle From Down Under.” I think the name fits him cuz he and the Thunder made some NOYZ as the 8th seed in the playoffs and they sure do look promising in years to come. Btw thanks for showing them sum luv in ish 138.

    His number’s zero, and when the pressure’s on, like in the playoffs against the Lakers, he remains cool, so I thought of Absolute Zero. Still, that’s one that could be turned around too easy.

    How about Ravage? It’s what he does to the other team, in one way or another. Plus, for those of us who grew up in the 1980s, we know Ravage is good at getting through defenses.
