What about that whole “do nice things” in Portland?

  • Chris C

Rudy is a wimp, ship him out..its just to bad he killed his trade value with last years performance

  • The D Train

As a Bulls fan, and someone who lives in Portland and roots for the Blazers most nights, I love Rudy. I know his effort wasn’t great this year, but Nate has him relegated to simply being a spot up shooter in limited minutes. Does anyone remember him sh1ting all over Dwight’s head in the Olympics a couple years back? He’s not the greatest, but at his age and cost, I totally think Chicago should jump on him. That being said, i doubt Thibs wants him since he’s fairly defensively deficient.

he wants more playing time, but he’s going to have to go to a bad team to get it. if that’s what’s important…

  • rav

very good player this lad and available for very little too it seems

  • Quail

Chicago and New york have got everything this offseason other than Wade, LeBron and Bosh. And Boston always gets 10 new players every year. someone else needs to get in on this. Thabo Sefolosha and a 2nd rounder maybe?

if he was playing with the Suns he would put up Richardson numbers, I like the guy.

  • Purple & Gold

Send him to the Lakers where his friend from Spain Gasol is. The Lakers right now are trying to get rid of Sasha Vukacic’s $5 million dollar expiring contract and are also including a future 1st round pick. Get it done Mitch !

  • Robb

    @Purple & Gold I like that.

  • total scrotal implosion

    Lakers fans are delusional

To Lakers for Sasha is a steal for the Lakers even if they give away a 1st or 2nd pick too. BOOK IT!!!

uh oh…colangelo is gonna b all over this

  • http://Yahoo Shanoooooo

I thought this guy was gonna be the 2nd coming of Ginobli. So much for that.

  • http://www.twitter.com/gerardhimself Gerard Himself

Shanoooooo (was that the right amount of O’s?): the guy has only played 2 years, you’re pretty quick to write him off.

  • matt

if nate wants a spot upshooter, BC can offer belinelli miami’s 1st rounder

    Boston, please…

  • monkeyball

The Blazers’ management is crazy. Rudy could be Manu Ginobili for the Blazers (he doesn’t have Manu’s killer instinct, but still…). He is leaps and bounds better than Vujacic, or most any sixth-man-2-3 in the league I can think of (other than Manu…).

  • rich

manu is a stretch id say a more consistent version of jr smith(not better) cuz he wont go for 40 but he has undeniable skill. i think mcmillian just couldnt make him love basketball, when sum1 can do that he will play defense(jerry sloan got korver playin d so anything is possible with effort

would be a good for the high offense suns team.

  • Hursty

    Please don’t come to Houston.

  • lazaruz

he wnts to be in a situation where the team lets him use his talents. in a slow paced half court team like portland and then being a role player really isnt the right situation for him.

  • JTaylor21

All this buffoons ala quail and the seed. Why the hell would OKC trade its best defender by far when they need him to guard kobe’s penetrating a** (insert Colorado joke here). We all know that KD is not up to the task. @the seed u need to BOOK a trip to the shooting range and volunteer to be a target, fuc*ing clown.

  • Greg

    Rudy Rulez

  • ab_40

get him to boston. there will be plenty of minutes down there with all those old bodies. He can get 25 to 30 mpg. Nate, Daniels and him can all handle the ball. than we’ve got davis and J.O’neal and there is a nice new benchmob. Can’t they sign shaq for half a season so when perk comes back they just let him go

  • TheTruth

The second coming of ginobili is omri casspi. Trust me I’m the truth.

  • http://minusthebars.blogspot.com Don

New York has been after this guy for awhile. I honestly don’t see what all the hype is about. He’s pretty much an average shooting guard. Then again, he is a much better shooter than Bill Walker and Wilson Chandler.

Just go to L.A and win your chip.

  • MikeC.

I’d love to see Rudy in NY. He’d fit in D’Antoni’s system perfectly as a starting 2 or first wing off the bench. I don’t know if NY has enough to get it done. I’m sick of seeing the Knicks throw first round picks into every trade. At some point we need to keep some young prospects. I also don’t want to see Eddy Curry’s expiring contract used for something dumb. Wait for a small-market team to fall out of the playoff race and worry about losing money, then offer Curry’s contract and whatever else for their star player (provided his name is Chris Paul).

  • Rolando

Rudy Fernandez is a terric player for the lakers team and he will fit for the triangle offense system of coch phil..alongside with his country man Paul Gasol awesome teammate-go gor the 3peat lakers-hopefully done deal a.s.a.p-THE BEST TEAM OF ALL TIME HALL FAMER AMONG THE REST!!!!!!ya ma mennn………..
