LeBron Met Bulls For More Than 3 Hours

According to Chicago Tribune reporter Chris Hine, LeBron James’ courtship period ended with a three-hour meeting with the Bulls, the longest of any meeting. The Bulls’ representatives didn’t say anything after the meeting, and their cars were booed as they left.

Okay, instead of having this conversation, let’s have a conversation that has nothing to do with the subject at hand and is impossible to figure out.
If Shaq played with Jordan instead of Kobe, how many championships would they have won?
If Kobe played with Chamberlain instead of Shaq, how many championships would they have won?

  • Nick the Quick

If Wesley Johnson has Darko Milicic, how many championships will they win?

Nick the Quick: Ohhh toughie lemme think….

Lebron, the king, Derrick, the prince, Noah the beast, and Thibs the coach…..come on down Jo Johnson…….your up next…..

Bucher is reporting that Chicago will be left empty-handed according to his sources. Wade and Boozer in Miami. Lebron reups with Cleveland for only 3 years. Amare in NY. Bosh to Houston in S&T. He says that Wade ran interference with Chicago because him and Riley are trying to get Joe Johnson in Miami with him and Boozer. If that ends up being the case, Wade will be my most hated NBA player ever. Said from the get-go that his 2nd meeting with the Bulls reeked of BS. If that underhanded sh1t is really what the deal was, Wade can eat a bowl of d1cks. Here’s hoping that Bucher is misinformed.

Yo Juks, what’s your guys’ plan now? Rebuild or just trade for a servicable PF?

  • BostonBaller

Players should not be held to a higher standard of loyalty than teams… It’s a business folks..both sides. So whatever these players do or discuss in their FA meetings is fair game in my opinion. I hope lbj & dwade sign with some half way decent west coast team just to piss ppl off. Whatever these FA’s do a couple of them will indeed sign 3 yr deals so they can get even more $$$ later. After a sign and trade the Clips get rid of BDavis & all 3 rookies while starting EGordon, DWade, CKaman, LBJ & BGriffin along w/ a decent bench..hey, leave me alone, I can make up impossible scenarios also. LOL!!!

Anton: What’s MY plans for the franchise or Sarver’s? Sarver is done. He got his mini-Amare and great cap relief, he’s got Nash to take them to the first and maybe second round of the playoffs for the next two or so years… why bother doing anything? That’s good for some money.
I guess I can’t say I’d do anything else (except, I dunno, f**king sign and trade Amare for anyone) but I’d also tell Nash I’d give him millions under the table if he convinced Dirk to come on over. Outside of that, I’m not one for “dump roster and start over” especially when the youth of the team is overrated. We have Goran and Robin, both could blossom into championship starters— but not stars… and even if we get rid of Nash, Barbosa, and Richardson, the team’s still too good to tank and get a #1 draft pick. So might as well fizzle out instead of pull a Detroit, destroy the team, then get unlikable crap replacements.

I asked my father, who is pretty business savvy, what would be his next move if he suddenly became the GM of the Phoenix Suns. He said “leave.”
    So, yeah. Hohum.

I feel for Nash. Which is worse…Cuban not re-upping him and letting him leave, then using the proceeds on Dampier or Sarver milking him for year one of an extension, then letting the only other all-star leave? Frankly I would have loved a Dirk-Nash reunion, regardless of locale. I feel bad for Jukai and the Suns fans. The magic of this year was thrown to the curb like so much trash. Sarver won’t pony up for the workers, so Kerr is gone. Amare won’t settle for an incentive-laden contract, so he’s gone. So sad that one of the feel-good stories of this last year falls by the wayside, and now we have to watch Nash languish in mediocrity for the rest of his career (most likely, anyways).

Having said all that, as a Bulls fan I am crapping-my-pants scared of these next few days. We have been in running for the 2nd best player in the league for a minute now. And Wade’s maneuver on Friday led us to believe that Chi-Town was a viable option for the 3rd best player in the league, even possibly pairing up with Lebron. Now we hear that the odds are that Wade is back in Miami, along with a PF that he helped recruit (Boozer or Bosh) and Lebron is back in Cleveland while the Bulls sit with 30 million in cap space. Hopefully, if that happens they at least pick up a JJ Redick with some of the space. A lineup of Rose, Redick, Deng, Gibson and Noah is at least not terrible. But “not terrible” is a lot lower on the expectation-scale than a lineup of Rose, random SG, Lebron, Gibson and Noah or Rose, Wade, Deng, Gibson and Noah. Either way, I’ve got a really bad feeling that Chi-Town ends up being the bridesmaid. Ugh.

I’m right there with you, D.

  • T-Money

I just can’t see LeBron going back with THIS Cavs team. Perhaps if they s+t for Chris Paul or Chris Bosh then, you never know. Look at what KG did to Twan, imagine what Pau would do to him?!

  • Cole

Man I want LA to do a sign and trade for Bosh so bad.

  • ab_40

You know presentaions get boring after 25 minutes right?
Is there a chance cle blows up the team and trades for chris paul and sign and trades for chris bosh. LeBron, DWade and ROse… this isn’t boston they don’t wanna sacrifice their stats just yet so there won’t be enough balls to go around. And who’s gonna be no.1 no.2 and no.3? They’re all not rliable shooters and the other way around bosh and noah with wade and rose. Two skinny guys up front? Ask San Antonio that doesn’t work you need a real 5 and neither bosh or noah is one. Jersey or Cleveland has the best shot of signing LeBron… new york has none and that’s just sad. A bad coach, a dumb GM a crazy owner AND a bad team. start booing NOW

With every free agent article on the slam site – I replace the word ‘meeting’ with the phrase ‘lap dance’ and it all seems so much more interesting.

  • slamfan4life

The bulls have already vastly improved with the signing of thibs, and i guarentee Chi-town will get ATLEAST 1 star free agent

Regardless of the outcome, least I can say I’m proud of the way the Bulls handles FA negotiations. They didn’t talk much to the media and they were strictly business. They didn’t have any presentations or visual aids cause they didn’t need them. Their pitch was simple. You wanna win, you come to Chicago. There was no Benny the Bull, no cheerleaders, no parades, no letting FAs throw opening pitches at White Sox games, just strictly talking about basketball and financial opportunities. Hopefully the outcome won’t be the same as in 2000 as well.

Duuude next season is going to be crazy!!!

  • http://www.dimemag.com Anton

I’m just saying, JJ Hickson will fit great in your system. Holla atcha aboi.

  • C-Lo-The-Great

hmm betcha benny the bull could’ve gave lbj a lap dance then we would for sure land lebron LOL

  • bnets

maybe they gave him an MJ tour

  • JoeMaMa

DWade treated the Bulls like he treated his ex. Possibly very wrong. Or fine. I don’t know. Umm Jukai, I think the best combination ever would be Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson, and Wayne Gretzky as cartoon superheroes.
