Polladaday: Knicks or Nets?

Despite not landing any of the top 3, we have seen the Knicks and Nets make solid moves over the last few weeks. The Knicks picked up Amare first and recently added Randolph, Felton, and Turiaf (love this guy’s grit). The Nets have a solid core already with Lopez, Harris, T. Will, and rookie Derrick Favors and just added Travis Outlaw. The Nets, to put it bluntly, were awful last year and the Knicks not too far behind. Who will win more games next season? What do you mean “Los”?

    Knicks only have Amare really. The Nets however improved their coaching staff and made very good acquisition’s to improve their bench and their core. The Nets will be more dominant in years to come

    is this a joke? Nets won 9 games last year and all they added was TRAVIS OUTLAW

    Knicks added a top 10 talent in Amare… this is a joke right?

    Knicks = Playoffs

    Nets = Lottery

    Don’t forget that the Nets also got Jordan Farmar. He’s a HUGE impact player. Hahahaha. That was hard to type.

    Avery > D’Antoni, top to bottom Nets > Knicks.

    with avery johnson and the guys mentioned in the poll, i go nets. more overall talent/upside/youth. yes, they won 9 games, but its a new year, new coach, new team.

    the results of this poll really make me cringe….I’m guessing the general public is justbasing their opinions on the Nets past record, but you can’t seriously exam these 2 squads TOP TO BOTTOM and tell me the Nets aren’t head and shoulders the better squad. Nets are a playoff squad this year, bank on it

    Lol, Nets don’t really have a chance. They already blew the free agency. Although they have Devin Harris, i think Knicks will have a bigger impact.

    the answer to this question is prettly simply obvious

    First of all the nets were 12-70, and secondly devin Harris literally stopped playing basketball after the first 8 losses. He just mailed it in for the rest of the season and it was frustrating as hell to watch. He’s excited about Avery as their new coach and Avery won’t let him do what he did last year. Knicks may have the better record next season, but nets are scheduled to do damage for the long run.

    The Raymond Felton pickup was solid.He’ll be much better at the point position that Duhon. Amare, Chandler (Wilson Chandler that is!), Galinari and a slim down (hopefully) Eddy Curry can snatch up an 8th seed this year.

    My beloved Nets also picked up one of the best shooters in the L with Morrow. So with a starting 5 of Harris, Lee (don’t forget about him), Outlaw, Favors (maybe) and Lopez (another year older, another year wiser, 20-10 guy), I like our chances because Avery Johnson won’t let these guys take a play off. Coming off the bench we might have one of the steals in the Draft with Damion Jones, and with Morrow, Farmar and Terrence Williams coming off the bench, I like our chances. Although Terrence Williams might get traded, but we’ll see what happens. Mock the Nets all you want, but they’re young and of course we won’t 50 games this season, but they’re not a 12-win team this upcoming season. They will surprise some teams.

    Given last seasons’ records, it might have been more approriate to go with the singular: “L” Knick / “L” Net. The Knicks finally got some people I can get enthusiastic about. They might or might not make the playoffs with D’Antoni’s “coaching”, but they definitely will be more interesting to watch and to read about. The Nets will be staring at ping-pong balls again next year, for certain.
