Brandon Jennings Has Lofty Goals for Next Season

Jennings tells the Journal Sentinel about his aspirations for the upcoming season: “On Thursday, Jennings found it hard to believe when rap star Ludacris simply dropped in for a few minutes during the opening day of the player’s three-day youth basketball camp at Homestead High School. But Jennings already is focusing a bit on the Bucks’ prospects for the coming season and setting some goals of his own. ‘This year I’m working hard to come back,’ Jennings said. ‘I want to be a double-double guy. I feel like with the talent we have I can be that. All-star weekend is in Los Angeles, and that is a goal to be an all-star. Win 50 games, win the Central Division and get out of the first round and see what happens.’”

    Those sound like realistic goals to me…. It’s not like he said he wanted to average a triple double and win the next 10 championships.

    1 – The Bucks improved significantly, and appear to have roster stablity. Salmons will go through an entire training camp, so will Gooden. CDR is coming in as well. Coach Skiles can also add more complexity to their systems. They’ll improve on both sides of the ball.
    2 – He’s going to be a better player next year obviously.
    3 – Hopefully the Bucks will have Bogut down low the entire season.
    4 – Depending on match-ups they could very well get to the 2nd round.
    5 – Bogut is their most “all-star worthy” player though. And UNLESS the Bucks are on track for 50 wins, I don’t see Jennings getting a look in.

    very possible.. jennings can for sure average 8 or 9 assist along with prolly bout 18 or 19 points per game.. the bucks will almost for sure win 50 games next year it would be hard for them not to.. and jennings, being in the eastern conference and being a point guard, has a very good chance of becoming an all-star.. and who knows they might just win the central division.. love jennings game and if he ever develops a consistant j then watch out cause this dude could be a very very dangerous player

    yeah he could do alot of his individual goals and the bucks improved alot over free agency. Keep in mind this team almost beat the hawks without andrew bogut so yea all of the goals are very realistic

    thanks for the pic. It’s crazy that Ludacris is actually bigger(muscle/mass) than Brandon Jennings. I amazed that BJ can get through an entire season being that small

    I Isiah was the Knicks GM, Brandon Jennings would have been a Knick, so to all yall Isiah haters, he drafts well and what have Dntoni really done for the Knicks since Isiah left. NOTHING. Brandon is a great player already to me. He will be top 5 point guard in the league in two years. BOOK IT!!

    C’mon son any one who believes in the seeds comments needs to be exiled. Top 5 point in 2 yrs, where they do that at? So ur telling me that he’s gonna be as good as Cp/Dwill/Drose/TP/JWall in 2 years? the same guy that shot 37 freaking % last year, damn, even AI didn’t come close to shooting that bad.

    i believe he can be just as good if not better than tony parker for sure in 2 years and john wall is not even tested yet.. no one even knows what he can do so we really cant say he is better than someone who led his team to the playoffs last year as a rookie

    John Wall hasn’t been tested yet, but his speed and hops are Rose/Wade level. Dude undeniably has more upside than Young Money, or Young Buck, or whatever he’s calling himself these days.

    the bucks are deeper than the bulls so they can win the division. as for the double double its more than possible its likely. and he can be the third point guard behind rondo and rose on the all-star team cause hes at least as good as devin harris

    Brandon jennings is a good player but he will have to pay a lot of dues before talking All Star. Look how long it took D Will. first and formost he will have to come in this year and show that last year was not a fluke. Plus he has to show he can play Defense. i wish the best for him

    To be honest, I think Jennings will get into a sophmore slump. It’s going to be really interesting in the playoffs if my predictions are right, my predictions being bulls at 4th seed and bucks at 5th. Jennings vs. Rose, Noah vs. Bogut
