King James Issues Warning to Critics

@TotalScrotalImplostion, thank you bra. That’s exactly what I’ve been saying for years. It happens all the time in hockey, too. They even encourage that sh*t, but when nba players throw a couple of fists that don’t even connect, they’re suspended, vilified as hoodlums and may even lose some endorsements. It’s a two way street when it comes to people judging NBA players (seen as a black league) and other sports; NFL even though majority of players are black, the ones you see on the tv and commercials everyday are white (Farve, Manning and Brady). There’s still heavy racism going on people even though “my president is black”.

…and P.S. I don’t like Kobe, and I hate the Lakers.

I hope all the side line antics are doen aswell. If he stops all the stuff and has the same look on his face as he did with team USA. The league is in trouble becasue you know wade and bosh gonna bring aswell.

Kobe is more skilled as an overall basketball player because he needs to be, he has some of the best footwork I’ve ever seen. But LeBron James is a FREAK OF NATURE! Who needs footwork when you can go through, jump over, or blow by ANYONE! His mom was actually abducted by aliens when he was in her womb and injected with chemical X. There is no reason why a man who is 6’8″ 250lbs should move like that, none whatsoever!

@JTaylor21..its been since Big Ben, Sheed & Chauncey were doing work in the palace since ive been on slam. Two reasons 1. I havent had time. 2. My time was spent watching Kobe in the finals only to be interrupted by old “witness” commercials of him and one of his 241 pairs of shoes, notice i said shoes, not rings.

@Jukai, It is definitively the second one. Ever since that detroit/pacers rumble; where the players were doing nothing more than defending themselves, things have gone for the worse.

anyway, jukai it is definitely the latter. after the 90s, people’s perception of the nba changed. no more taunting or hard fouls, and definitely no more pushing/fighting. damn, you can’t even slap the backboard after a dunk without getting T’d up. was it because of the ai movement? was it jordan leaving? is it something else? who knows. but definitely after the malice in the palace, things hit rock bottom.

@total: I am not fully acquainted with baseball or hockey but your right that is some messed up sh*t. Players clearing out bullpens and going apesh*t on each other on national TV and no one getting reprimanded for it is disgustingly broken. Athletes should hold themselves to higher standard. BUT, is it racist that the NBA holds their guys to more accountability than all other sports leagues? If anything they should be emulated right? Where does the issue of race come in?

This JTaylor guy needs to be banned for his comments at 5:52. This is about basketball, not personal shots at family members or diatribes about racism and how it manifests itself in professional sports and society as a whole. This is a chance to write/joke about our views concerning LeBron James’ thoughts on criticism leveled at him. There are other sites for personal attacks. I can even handle discussing social issues if the discussion is respectful and leads somewhere. But talking about family members and whatnot crosses lines. SLAM online editors will be notified.
