  Believe it or not, attitudes like Ron’s get you above the rest. Lakers were tough but now is a different ball game. Ron sweats toughness and I like that! You impose your mental toughness and then your defense speaks along with some elbows along the way.
  All within the concept of the rules. I love it.
  There’s a thin line between being just dirty player and a legal-dirty-within-the-rules player.
  Old pistons did it, Celtic’s did it in 08 and now is Laker time baby!!

  why is everyone getting so excited. Doc is just telling the truth, their starting 5 has not lost to the lakers or lost a series. He didn’t say Lakers starting 5 has. Some class on Ron-Ron and lakers fan would be to simply state the obvious. Lakers starting 5 also has not lost a series. Now, everybody take a breath and relax.

  Bynum was a injured, Kobe was injured too! Artest was hungry and Gasol was focused. Ray Ray got cold, Rondo couldn’t shoot and KG hasn’t been the same since ealry 2009 before the knee injury. Boston lost a bunch of games in 2009 b/c they ran out of gas at the end. How else would you explain losing a 13 point lead in the Finals? Perkins was missed but he was not going to give you what Rasheed gave them…Buckets! The Celts spend too much time talking…Peirce “We’re not coming back to Boston” and KG’s “We like our chances going back to the Jungle” (only to lose game 3 in the Jungle). I like the rivaly between the 2 teams but Boston’s kind of suspect! They talk too much, way too much!

  Back when Artest played for the Rockets, I remember Houston going into Boston and smacking the Celtics up. Paul Peirce was roughed up all game and was looking to the officals for help. Well htis time around Peirce he had had help and he still couldn’t beat Artest. And now Doc wants to motivate him some more? As long as he’s playing with the Lake Show, Boston won’t see banner 18.

  Kobe was never injured, broken finger my A** he just used it to cover his ballhogging a** for occasions he goes 6-24 which he did in GM7. Everything dude does is an act and has been copyed from someone else, dude is a BIG FAT PHONY. Doc is right, the lakers still have beaten the Celts starting 5 and bynum is always injured, so who cares whether he was playing or not, the lakers have won WITHOUT him many times. It’s not like his the defensive factor like Perk, dude is nothing but a glorified OOP catcher.

  Thank You, Ron for being honest and letting the so called Doc ( I won one ring not I am the man) Rivers. The Celtics team always has excuses and this is one more to add. They won in 2008 over a Bynum/Ariza less team. They lost in 2009 after being up 3-2 on the Magic. After losing we did not have KG. Then in 2010 they were up 3-2 lost after being up 13 points in the 3rd quarter lost game, we didn’t have Perkins. IF they would have won, they would have said we beat them without Perkins. Doc you can’t have it both ways. The Celtics are LOSERS, they need to worry about the Bulls, Magic, ATL and Miami. BOOK IT!!!

  i don’t see why everyone’s making a big deal of what Doc said. He didn’t try to take anything away from the Lakers–everyone’s forgetting that he said that they’re the champs and they should be congratulated–he just spoke like you’d expect the coach of a team that lost an important player before a game 7 and subsequently lost the series to speak. is he biased because he didn’t mention the Lakers’ health issues? sure. how could he not be biased? but he’s not making excuses, and he’s only stating the truth when he says that the Celtics starting five hasn’t lost a playoff series.

  Ron Artest is a hard worker and a good team player, I like him as a Laker more than I thought I would. The Celtics and Doc Rivers should keep talking and soak up the last 15 minutes of fame because when the season starts everyone will be talking about winners not excuse makers. As for the Celtics, I like KG and Rondo. KG was their MVP Paul had years to get it done he got nothing. KG came to town then they got rings. Rondo is a smart point guard and should try to get on the Laker team when Fisher retires. Next finals will be Lakers vs. Miami
