Udonis Haslem Pulled Over, Arrested

It’s been a topsy-turvy summer for Udonis Haslem. On the “topsy” side, he’s re-upped with the Heat, and he’ll be contending for a championship this season. On the “turvy” side, his mother passed away, and, as of yesterday he’s been pulled over and found to have weed in his car, as the AP reports:

“Heat forward Udonis Haslem was arrested Sunday for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop in Miami-Dade County.

Haslem, 30, was stopped around 3:05 p.m. going eastbound on the Gratigny Parkway because of speeding, Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. Mark Wysocky said. Haslem was also charged with illegal window tint, Wysocky said.

A passenger in Haslem’s 2008 Mercedes, Antwain Fleming, was also charged with possession. Both were being transported to Miami-Dade County Jail for processing. Corrections officials said neither had been added to the county system as of early Sunday evening.

‘During the traffic stop the trooper smelled an odor of marijuana from within the vehicle,’ Wysocky wrote in a press release. ‘After the subsequent search, Mr. Haslem and Mr. Fleming were placed under arrest.’

    If they pull him over because he is in a Benz with tinted windows, and then discover he IS doing something illegal…well, its not really helping the black ‘victimised’ cause is it?
    There are many who get stopped because of racist reasons for NO good reason, but if he gets pulled and IS doing something illegal, then the Police will just hold their heads high and say ‘we knew it was the right thing to do’.
    Idiot.

    i’m sorry to continue on one of the pro-weed soapboxes, but some clarification is needed. they just published a medical study which showed that weed DID NOT impact the reaction time of tested drivers. they were more easily distracted, but didn’t have slower reaction times. saying that weed and alcohol are equally bad to mix with driving is not true. i’m not saying there aren’t negative aspects to smoking weed regularly, but i think it’s less harmful/dangerous than alcohol or cigarettes. there are also a lot of anti-weed posters who are making assumptions of what it’s like to be high as they’ve actually never smoked. there are idiots who have never smoked and geniuses who smoke every day, and vice versa. at least UD wasn’t texting while driving because that sh*t is hardcore crazy.

    ^^^^^^^^yes I! Herb is the healing of the nation!!! Jukai, im an open racist? Id think I would know if that were the case. You put so many words in my mouth. I said smokn n driving is very bad but not the worst, im not promoting it. Adderall is much worse than herb. And you cant blame herb for the dumb actions of ppl who smoke it. Some ppl are just stupid with or without external influences. Such as jukai who typed ‘per say’. Hey, if u smoked, u could have blamed it, but u dont so ur just dumb. Per say, lol go back to school u simpleton, short bus will be picking u up soon.
