Chris Bosh is Excited to Be on TV a Lot

Bosh tell the Toronto Star that he’s ready for his national television close-up, though perhaps he might not have enjoyed the first go-around too much: “It wasn’t the colour of the money or the chill in the air or the curling on TV. It’s that he wants to be on TV. Once a legend of YouTube, Bosh said that after seven seasons in northland, he was ultimately disheartened by the Raptors’ scarce appearances on the U.S. tube. ‘Really, it’s all about being on TV at the end of the day,’ the five-time all-star said Tuesday. ‘Seriously. A guy can average 20 (points) and 10 (rebounds), and nobody really cares. If you don’t see it (on U.S. national TV), then it doesn’t really happen.’ … Indeed, if the Heat have their way — and Wade’s early October injury limited Miami’s Big Three to all of three minutes of pre-season court time together, so Tuesday was a true debut — their quest for another kind of ring will fill up Bosh’s schedule deep into June. At that point, the TV appearances will be global and frequent; if Bosh grabs a key rebound in a forest of NBA trees, he won’t be wondering if anybody saw it. ‘We know what’s going on. We know a lot of people are watching. We know a lot of people are putting us under the microscope. We knew it was going to be like that,’ Bosh said. ‘Dealing with it is another thing.’”

    what a loser

he’s just like kids who like to wave and show their face behind people getting interviewed and scream “i’m on tv Ma”

grow up man, you make millions of dollars, seems like this guy lacks focus

  • neaorin

Maybe if he’d led the Raptors to more than three playoff wins in seven years, he would’ve been on TV a little more.

  • Fat Lever

Chris, shut the f*(k up and play ball. This dude is talking like a hip hop groupie. Save that ish for Maury. I guess Jigga was right, fame is the most addictive drug.

  • ITP

So, averaging 8 and 8 on TV is better than 20 and 10 in Canada?

  • t-sizzle

bosh is a camwh0re. if he didnt have his somewhat skills at bball, you’d see him trying to make it into reality shows and dating celebrities, just like a kardashian

Well, when Vince was in his prime we had alot of US appearences…. Maybe its YOU Chris, maybe its you

It may be safe to say that THIS guy is the most immature pickup the Heat made this off-season.

I wonder how much he’ll love the exposure as he averages 12 and 8 this season.

    wow…what a stupid thing to say…

Goes to show what a great player Vince Carter was when he was in his prime. Everyone knew of the Raptors then. And even then the average person knew of the Toronto Raptors because of Vince Carter, plus they got a fair bit of coverage. Chris wasn’t the player or leader like Vince Carter was then or could he take the team as far as what Vince did so they didn’t get as much coverage.

  • mikee

    He’s overrated!

  • http://jayemmbee.blogspot.com Clutch Performer

to be fair Vince did more, he put himself on the All Star game, dunk contest, he was able to put himself and get noticed more, Vince had highlight dunks and plus controversy , Bosh isnt gonna enter a dunk contest, hes not gonna have that controversy,
although he shoulda keep this to himself

Bosh is really pushin on sum line. i mean, we get it. You like the press and exposure, but i mean u aint gotta keep tellin us. Do your job and win us some games.

  • http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/chicago-bulls-confidential/ Diesel

This is why I think Bosh will be the first to complain. As much as I dislike the moves Lebron made this summer, I believe him and Wade are in it for the rings. Bosh is in it for the fame. And he’s going to get overlooked a lot of nights on this team.

If Bosh averages 13 and 8, does he make the all-star team? There’s lots of competition at the forward spots in the East. KG, Amare, Boozer, PP, Lebron. If Bosh truly plays the team game the Heat keep talking about, he might not make the all-star team with other forwards putting up better numbers. Did I forget any other forwards? The East is getting strong.

What a tool. This is the difference between Miami’s three and Boston’s three.

  • Sparty’s Law

It’s pretty bad when someone can say stuff like this and still not even be the biggest tool on his own team.

  • Kobe

    Say it with me…

  • ab40

dumbass I hope dwight kills him next friday a 40 and 20 game on his head. He couldn’t do anything vs boston. He’ll be limited against orlando and LA also. So yeah. D wade his athleticism is on the decline and he’ll soon be a player a la joe johnson/brandon roy. Still good but not amazing as he was and LBJ will have to cary the load once more. And leave. With a new decision. To finish his career.. in cleveland.

  • ClydeSays

Pretty much tells you what his motivation is for joining the Heat. Show up, smile for the cameras, collect checks. For a guy who wanted to be on TV more, he didn’t seem to enjoy the post game press conference last night…

See what all those years in Toronto did to him? Underexposure is a hell of a drug.

  • Bruno

and this makes my case on why Bosh sucks hahaha

Okay Chris we get it u wanna be a big star, a movie star even. But unless Spielberg does another Jurassic Park, Velociraptor look-a-likes are in scarce demand in Hollywood. Shut it and ball, pathetico.

  • iLL wiLL

We get it. You like the attention. Now just start playing ball.

  • raptor87

    Dude can’t even post up…

  • joc

    Batman,Robin & scooby doo!

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

Co-sign Diesel. I think down the road, Bosh is gonna be a problem for the Heat. I mean a bad problem, not a good problem. I mean bad as in bad, not bad as in good…

  • http://idunkonthem.blogspot.com/ albie1kenobi

clearly no one cares about him. he’s gonna be sick of all the “lebron this, wade that” before the end of the year and wants out.

  • http://zoran_dakovic@hotmail.com RickyRude

I agree with what many of you are saying. He needs to focus on playing basketball and winning games, everything else will come in its due time if he’s worthy of it. For now, he will be overshadowed by LeBron and Wade and be that 3rd wheel.
