    Not to give away my votes or anything, but the guy we have listed as the No. 1 player in the NBA almost definitely won’t lead his TEAM (let alone the NBA) in points or rebounds and might not lead his team in assists.

    He’s probably got steals down, though. So that’s nice.

    I’m sorry Slam, I’m like one of your biggest supporters, I read every issue front to back and hang up almost every poster that’s not any celtic player or LeBron, but I have an issue. As you can see by the poll, your fan base is largely pro-Kobe (myself included), so why wouldn’t you put Kobe ahead of LeBron in order to give your supporters more of what they want since you claim the votes were so close? That’s just my opinion, oh and the TRUTH is that Kobe is better.

    when both careers are over Kobe will be considered the best. Kobe with or without athleticism is the same great player. Just wait until Lebron starts getting old, when he can’t jump or run like he does now he’ll be done. It’s a question of time.

    lebron but lakers are a better team. if the heat can sign a midlevel center in the offseason(tyson chandler maybe) then they will coast to how ever many rings they want

    co-sign Caboose! but seriously, THIS IS STUPID! why? because kobe is not the same player that he once was! he’s getting older and already had tons of injuries! kobe’s winning championships because he has better teammates! lets say lebron stayed in cleveland, if you switch lebron and kobe, the lakers would win the title every year! you can’t argue w/ that! don’t be stupid!

    @ Boggs: Bron’s no leader like Kobe. Which is why I don’t think the Heat will win this year (LA three peat!) And besides, if they actually do, it will be because of WADE not LeBron.

    I will take Kobe for the playoffs and Lebron for the regular season. Lebron can be considered one of the greatest players ever for regular season play. Kobe can be considered one of the greatest players ever for post season play. Get the picture, playoffs matter more. BOOK IT!!
