Reggie Evans: ‘Kevin Garnett Has Always Been a Chihuahua’

Evans says what everyone already knows — that KG, despite the histrionics, never actually wants to fight anyone — but he uses funny words to describe him. From the Toronto Star: “Asked a question about the limits of NBA trash talk, it wasn’t long before Reggie Evans was engaging in some. ‘I’d love to see Charlie and KG in the ring. I’d pick Charlie,’ Evans said. ‘I’ve seen KG get his ass whupped. … He’s always barking, and when it’s time to get physical, he’s always been a little chihuahua’ … Evans said that, although he has “a lot of respect” for Garnett, he is not scared of him. On Friday, practising some trash talk while analyzing its powers, Evans rattled off a series of incidents in which Garnett, who is listed at 6-foot-11, has directed his aggression toward smaller players. ‘Anthony Peeler,’ said Evans, referring to a 2004 incident in which the 6-foot-4 Peeler stung Garnett with a shot to the stomach and jaw. ‘I’ve seen KG pick on (Raptors point guard) Jose (Calderon). I ain’t never seen him bark up a bear. He’s always being a little chihuahua. When he’s got a pit bull about to get on him, I’ve seen him back down. … That’s why I’ll take Charlie in the ring.’”

    Until someone mashes KG in the face and he stops doing what he does, then what he’s doing works. He pisses people off, takes them out of their game, and he wins. Done and done. C0ck-grabbing Reggie can talk all he wants. Where I’m from, dudes don’t grab other dude’s c0cks unless they have certain things on their minds.

    Wasn’t Reggie Evans the same pansy who grabbed Chris Kaymans balls when he was trying to box him out for a layup and than when Chris Kayman through his bummy @ss to the floor he stood their and didn’t do anything? Talk about a tough guy fraud.

    Trash talk is part of the game but ever since KG has been in Boston he has become a dirty player. I’m fine with trash talking but the guy is dirty and for some reason or another it has intesified this season. I have always thought KG is a great player but his rep as a dirty player has tarnished him substantially and I am surprised that someone hasn’t tried to take his weak, frail ass out yet. KG, you will make it to the Hall Of Fame, no question…but please, we all know you aren’t ‘tough’.

    When referring to Reggie Evans, I prefer “the Ball Boy” to “Scrotum Grabber” because it captures both his notorious violation and his penchant for doing pretty much nothing legal on the court but get rebounds.

    BTW, KG is allllll talk. Peeler punked him big time and he showed his true colors. Bosh is the same way. Hard to respect someone who talks “tough” (not just trash about the game) but tries to be all physically intimidating, but isn’t the real deal at all. Larry Bird and Dr. J tried to strangle each other. KG just stood there like a sullen doofus when he got clocked by a little dude. I respect KG’s talent, but not the empty histrionics. Sack up, dude.
