Kevin Love Continues Amazing Play

In case you’ve been living under a rock, Kevin Love is averaging over 21 points and 15 boards per game so far this season. That’s seven more points and four more rebounds than he averaged last year. Sounds like the early favorite for MIP to us. Anyway, last night, to bolster his All-Star credentials, the 30/30 man dropped a career high in points last night. Check it: “Kevin Love scored 43 points ncluding 17 in the fourth quarter – and had 17 rebounds for the Timberwolves (6-22), who have lost 11 straight on the road and 15 of their last 18 overall. Love leads the NBA in rebounding by a wide margin at 15.6 per game.”

Has anyone actually witnessed any of these games?

  • Jer dawg

Man, we see the sports tickers on ESPN and Slam magazine constantly showing “Love” to hard working players on miserable teams. That includes Blake Griffin of Clippers. We are witnessing something special even when we AREN’T witnessing special players. Wolves and Clippers toil in obscurity, but every other day it seems we see fat numbers by both of these ballers. These 2 came out of same 2007 HS class and debating who is better. Critics have their say, but numbers don’t lie in either of these two gentlemen’s cases. Props to both for constantly bringing it every f***ing night.

Love gets no Love. He is a beast at the moment, and to be honest, is putting his name in best center debate (would u call him PF or C)

  • sideburn2go

gotta call him a PF still since that is what he is playing every night but I think his name should be near the top of that list too…. Unstoppable, his play is impressive every night

  • LeBron de Con

Love is a match up nightmare. He went 5 for 5 on 3s last night while snatching 17 boards. He has only had one off night this season (against the Lakers).

Love is a great player for the Wolves this season, him and Beasley have been the few bright spots for this team this season. If the Wolves had maybe 7 or more wins, Love would no doubt be an MVP candidate! The future looks bright for the Wolves if they can keep this young core together. Click on my name and it’ll take you my Minnesota Timberwolves blog.

Kevin Love and Blake Griffin both better be all-stars.
    Kevin Love: 21.1, 15.7, 2.3 on 45/43/87 shooting!
Blake Grif: 20.7, 12.3, 3.1 on with 51% on the field!
These ain’t scrub numbers! These are Duncan-esque!

Love is having a dominant year, worthy of an All-Star selection. He’s getting 15 boards against some of the leagues’ best bigs

Those of us who have been Love’s fans for years, have been more than annoyed at McHales’ and Rambus’ coaching. We saw Love play at UCLA and he was spectacular. Both of these coaches need courses in how to coach and how to recognize talent. To have had Love on the bench these last couple of years has made us not only angry but made us not Timberwolves fans. Try telling your teenager who saw Love play that know he was incredibly superior to lots of other players, that the coach is a moron, but in a classier way. IT has been demoralizing for us all. Our prayers have been answered. In your face, McHale and Rambus.
