Paul Pierce’s Somewhat Mysterious Injury

The team says it’s a thigh issue. Paul — who left last night’s game late in the fourth quarter — thinks it’s his knee. Either way, no one seems too worried about the minor injury. The Boston Herald reports: “The Celtics say Paul Pierce has a bruised right thigh. Pierce says he has a bruised knee. Whatever it is, the captain didn’t seem overly concerned about it after the game. He hopes to play against the Suns in Phoenix Friday night. Pierce said he banged his knee in the second quarter and the problem got worse. He limped to the dressing room after coming out of the game with 2:01 left.”

I wouldn’t be worried about any injury to Pierce unless they had to take him off the court in a wheelchair…wait….sorry I forgot about 08

phoney a.. injury- surprised they didnt send out the wheel chair.

  • yes.we.did.

Huh, so he changed the routine up? Usually, he gets hurt in the 2nd or 3rd quarter, límps (or rolls) off the court, and comes back in the 4th quarter like he’s just fine. Way to keep us guessing Paul!
