Video: JaVale McGee Preparing for the Dunk Contest

CSN Washington brings us footage of JaVale practicing a few of his dunks for the big event, including one where he grabs a piece of paper with his teeth prior to dunking. Hmmm:

    He’s too long to make anything look impressive. He barely has to leave the floor to dunk. However if he can pull off a variety of free thow dunk line dunks he may be ok. Not that he’ll win tho, cause its a fan vote and there’s no way Blake is losing that…

    I like this guy. He ‘s still a pup but gots a great attitude , nice dunks & works hard + HE’s got a Scottish sounding name so you know he got warrior in him. :-) Hope JaV gets second place. He’l be a force in the near future. One !!

    I hope he’s just giving peak at his abilities and not the actual dunks he’ll be attempting. I like JaVale and think he’ll be a good runner-up to Blake.

    It will be quiet surprising to see Mcgee make the FT dunk, but i think he will be in finals with the Griffin and make the FT dunk!

    He is too tall, but the 3rd dunk was kinda cool and creative. He is taller than Dwight and if i’m right he doesn’t jump as high as Dwight, but atleast he is trying unlike Shannon.

    The fact that he only has to jump a tiny bit will hurt him I think. It’s like how Shawn Kemp kind of got shafter before because he didn’t have to stay up in the air so long to make his dunks even though Kemp was a very good jumper. At least with Dwight, for a guy his size he also has mad hops and jumped as high as he could when doing his dunks. Good comparison with Larry Nance Philosopher
