Do Not Make LeBron James Angry

You won’t like it when he’s angry, as the Orlando Magic learned in painful fashion last night. From Fox Sports: “On a night when LeBron James turned his animosity toward the Magic into 51 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists, the Heat stepped onto Orlando’s home court and offered a clearer picture of how their two Dec. 9 trades impacted the balance of power in the Eastern Conference … Orlando mocked him in the summertime. Howard took to mocking his chalk throw pregame. The King is not amused. ‘Is it flattering?’ LeBron asked, grimacing. ‘No. It’s not flattering.’ Indeed, LeBron’s temper was still flaring after the Heat escaped with a 104-100 victory after being up as much as 23. It wasn’t the letdown that had him steaming. It was his feeling for the Orlando Magic. ‘Just playing this team got me going,’ he said. ‘We understand that this wasn’t any regular game. There’s a lot of things said about us in the offseason that came from this organization. So we just wanted to come here and play to our abilities and make a statement.’”

Memo to Dwight Howard: You need to be All-World to try and clown someone. You ain’t sh*t, Superb*tch.

  • T-Money

E: I seriously think that Dwight is somewhat jealous of the pub Bron is getting. / Also, Bron looked like he was ready to jump Sages during the half time interview. Think he heard about Sages’ comments at the beginning of the year?

  • Mvp23100

They been warning these suckers all year

  • Sam

Funny thing is that Howards antics were more a shot at how the Cavs organisation managed Lebron. All those corny pre game stunts were a key reason the Cavs imploded in the play offs and you would’ve though Van Gundy/Smith would’ve recognised that and stamped it out. Lebron, with Riley and Spo behind him, is a different beast now.

  • http://slamonline.com AllBall

I picked up on that. He looked pssed with Saiger. What were Saigers comments?

  • http://www.slamonline.com Eboy

T, Every “big” road game since the Heat started the season (including the first game in Boston when he played well) Lebron has been monstrous. I think the next Boston game is going to have the same feel to it. It’s east to take shots at a down when they’re down….once they’re on their feet, it’s a whole ‘nother problem.

  • RobbieJay

personally i still think he’s pissed about the ECF loss two years ago…

  • Jono

The most annoying thing is how DRose is being touted as the forerunner for the MVP. Are you kidding me? He’s all-NBA for sure. But LeBron is the MVP, no question.

  • Joblo

Drose doesnt have Dwade or Bosh so what’s ur point?

  • reald1

^U NEED TO WATCH DA MAN PLAY TO UNDERSTAND
BOOZER AND NOAH BEEN INJURED ALMOST ALL SEASON HE’S BEEN DOIN IT.
    DROSE MVP

  • 2KInsider

I agree. No one wants to run into LeBron during the regular season.

  • marc

^^^lmao he said regular season. What about the playoffs?

  • burnt_chicken

hey Eboy, who’s the best center in the League? First team all-nba center?, Defensive player of the year (most likely)? ummm I think that actually IS all world….

  • http://www.redraidersports.com Nicolas Fleming

Umm, DHoward is the best defender the NBA has seen since Bill Russell.

  • http://zenguu Max

    Karma is a b*tch.

  • http://zenguu Max

Oh wait, it was an accident, I didn’t mean to send that comment.

  • underdog

^Nicolas you should check out some tapes from the ’90s, when real centers played in the L.

  • riggs

50 points from bron and yet they ESCAPED with the win.

  • T-Money

So now the narrative is that Bron can’t play well in the playoffs? Game 5 erased all memories of outstanding playoffs games?

  • T-Money

riggs: 27 pts from Bosh and Wade combined and yet they won the game? it goes both ways. a w is a w. a l is a l. no moral victories, no tainted wins.

  • Sizzle

@joblo the fact that he is still doing what he’s doing (with Bosh and Dwade at his side) is reason enough for MVP consideration. The numbers haven’t dipped like many thought.

  • BBall Knowledge

I find Lebron haters to be a bunch of jokers! The guy is clearly one of the best players any one of you have EVER seen…..get over yourselves.

  • http://www.redraidersports.com Nicolas Fleming

@underdog. The 90′s raised me. Don’t tell me to watch tapes. I remember how great the centers were. I’m positive that I said defense.

  • http://www.redraidersports.com Nicolas Fleming

@BBall, the same can be said for Kobe haters…

  • http://brimartin13@gmail.com Brion

    D.Howard is an A** clown.

  • Red Star

We’ll see come the playoffs! I expect that elbow is going to start acting up Costanza style. LMAO!!

  • Fat Lever

If we learned anything from the Heat, it’s that dramatically changing your roster warrants time to get your pieces together. Orlando overhauled their roster, and guys like Arenas and Richardson are still finding their place. Let’s hold off on the talk of this game meant something.

  • Red Star

@BBall if LeBron is one of the best players I have ever seen I must not have been alive for too long! Talk to me when he wins a ring!
Kobe: I want to be the greatest player ever!
LeBron: I want to be the first billionaire athelete!
    Enough said!!

  • Gman

Dhoward is not the best defender since Bill Russell, cmon now, there have been players since that time.

  • http://www.fiba.com Darksaber

    Tear-their-heart-out game. Faaaantastic.
    More please.

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

    Fat Lever
Nah, the Magic will have the same problems forever. Too many jumpers, not enough defense. They are what they are. If Gilbert was still a beast it might be different, but he’s not.

  • http://slamonline.com The Black Rick Kamla

lol I lost a little respect for Dwight on that one….seemed out of line for real.

  • Joblo

@ sizzle I know lebron is mvp worthy but u could say wade is also. I know lebron is the best player in the league right now but I really think Drose is having the best season based on what he is doing with the team he has

  • 1982

I can’t really put into words how much fun it is to watch the great players play angry. As much crap as LBJ has been getting, warranted or not, I like how they’re playing with something to prove. NBA, where bruised egos make for amazing entertainment.

  • spursnation

kobe was garbage on his own. first round exits and selfish ball. bron went to the finals on his own w a bunch of janitors on his team. bron got 60 wins and second/third round campaigns out of trash players. kobe is nothing without alltime big men on his roster. do u really think that if bron was spoonfed a prime shaq he wouldnt have won at least 3 rings? crazy talk

  • http://www.onitsukatigermexico66.us onitsuka tiger mexico 66

Yes, DHoward is the best defender the NBA has seen since Bill Russell. but he can not make the magic be a better team, he can do only himself better but not the team, orlando need a been asistant man

  • Mo Money

are you kidding me? Dwight Howard is the best defender since Russell?? You forget David Robinson? Mutombo? Shaq changed entire teams OFFENSIVE gameplans. And I havent even touched on the Dream yet. Hakeem would eat him alive for breakfast then spit him out for lunch. Howard is nice, a great defender blah blah blah. But he’s nowhere near the all time greats. Not yet.
