Eric Gordon Re-injures Right Wrist

Two games and two quarters after returning from 18 games missed due to a right wrist injury, Eric Gordon suffered an injury to the same wrist on Saturday night.

We’ll fill you in more with details as they become available, but for now Yahoo! (via the AP) has the essential info:

Los Angeles Clippers scoring leader Eric Gordon left Saturday night’s game against the Denver Nuggets in the second quarter after injuring his right wrist in a fall under the basket.

The guard was fouled hard by Timofey Mozgov  on an attempted driving layup with 5:08 left before halftime and the Clippers leading 43-29.

Gordon wasn’t able to make his free throws, which automatically made him ineligible for the rest of the game, and he was taken for X-rays.

Results from the X-rays have not been released yet but hopefully the reoccurrence isn’t a result of Gordon returning too soon from his previous injury, and hopefully it doesn’t become some sort of chronic condition.
