Brandon Jennings Unhappy With the Bucks’ Trades

This isn’t the first time, and likely not the last, that Jennings has let the media know of his displeasure with the state of things in Milwaukee. The Journal Times reports: “As the Milwaukee Bucks’ deeply-disappointing season comes to a merciful end, their deep-seeded frustrations are starting to surface. After the Bucks were virtually eliminated from the Eastern Conference playoffs in a loss Friday to the Indiana Pacers, Bucks starting point guard Brandon Jennings publicly expressed what many of his teammates had privately felt for months. ‘Some guys have the mind-set of winning on the team and some guys just don’t,’ Jennings said. Jennings then an indirectly took a shot at Bucks general manager John Hammond, assistant general manager Jeff Weltman and coach Scott Skiles, the three biggest personnel decision-makers in the organization next to owner Herb Kohl. ‘We traded a lot of pieces I feel like we should have kept,’ Jennings said. ‘But that’s part of the business and you’ve got to roll with it.’”

I’ve always think that players should keep their opinions in private with the team. This statement doesn’t bring anything positive to Jenning’s in my humble opinion.

Maybe Jennings should worry about having the mindset of getting his FG% above 40%

I had a dream last night that Redd scored 69 points in his first game back. But the Bucks lost. Can’t remember who they were playing.

  • JR

    Who did they even trade?

Bucks Unhappy with Brandon Jennings’ Play

  • T-Money

Brandon Jennings is shooting 39 per cent from the field this year – and that’s an improvement!

I’m happy that he’s committed to winning, but I never have much respect for rookies and 2nd year players that call out their coaches and GMs. Earn your voice, Brandon.

@dirty frank Was it the Phoenix Mercury?

  • D.Stokes

Kids got a spine…but yeah keep that behind closed doors uless your winning. Thats like going in on ya babymama on Twitter and you got no job.

shooting over 40% from the field would help your team win..

  • Zak_Knutson13

Who is he talking about? Charlie Bell and Dan Gadzuric?

He’s just plotting to get into a Knicks uniform ASAP…good for him

telling the media that you’re not happy is not the way to ‘roll with it’.

  • Red Star

Damn! NBA players sure complain a lot these days! Divas

He’s always wanted to be a Knick. :0)

  • gani

This does nothing positive for the team. He should’ve voiced his opinions internally and not let anyone outside the organization know what’s going on.

Jennings is playing on a small market team that paid Redd millions to rehab for the last 3 seasons. That contract took them out of the running for any decent FA. Maybe next year.

  • doyouwantmore

Brandon Jennings puzzled that everything doesn’t happen the way he wants.

Official Quote from B. Jennings: “I want to average a double-double this season… I’m gonna continue to prove everyone wrong.”

    i was right, he can’t average a double-double :(

  • D12FSU

    whod they trade for/away?

  • robb

I like Jennings but he needs to work harder, talent is a great thing to have but without work ethic and without commitment you’re just an average guy in the NBA. Practice your shot, hit the irons (you’re too small kid) and keep your mouth shut.

  • connor

trade him for evan turner??!!!??? just putting it out there

  • Justin

Who do these first and second year guys think they are? Cosign pretty much everything said so far, especially about earning your voice and getting the FG% above 40%. Ridiculous

  • dsleepy

scratching my head, i wasn’t aware that the bucks even made any trades…

  • J.C.

Not at all relevant but it annoys me when people who write for a living make these kind of mistakes – The phrase is ‘deep-seated’, not ‘deep-seeded’.

  • Will Lee

must be cory magette. He’s a black hole. I think the Bucks have good roster, just Magette and Gooden are horrible pickups.

id be pissed if i was him too.. i personally dont give a f*ck if he is a 2nd year player, he is the leader of his team and his voice needs to be heard

  • http://www.twitter.com/dfrance21 dfrance21

A leader would go straight to the coach and GM and talk it out, not say he’s unhappy to the media and claim he’s “rolling with it.”

  • http://www.slamonline.com c_cantrell

a leader will do whatever the f*ck it is that he feels like doing.. he was answering questions

  • L-Dub20

Its an honest opinion. If the question is asked by the media, it should be answered right? “Brandon, what are your thoughts on the trades made by the organization?”….Brandon- “We traded a lot of pieces I feel like we should have kept, But that’s part of the business and you’ve got to roll with it.” Whats the issue? Players comment like this all the time. Shouldnt be taken as a jab at the owners and coaches. But if my friend/teammate (that I felt I was playing very well with or felt was an asset to our team) was traded. Id feel the same way. And would express that if the question was asked.
