NBA Players Vote Kobe Bryant as Most Clutch

Among fans and media, the debate continues to rage, but for NBA players there hardly seems to be any disagreement — the vast majority want the ball in Kobe’s hands with the game on the line. Reports Sports Illustrated: “WHO DO YOU WANT SHOOTING WITH THE GAME ON THE LINE: Kobe Bryant, Lakers 74%; Kevin Durant, Thunder 8%; Dwyane Wade, Heat 3%; Ray Allen, Celtics 2%; Dirk Nowitzki, Mavericks 2%. Based on 166 NBA players who responded to SI’s survey.”

    the pole is, “who do you want shooting with the game on the line” not who do you think can score at the end of games when its close. This is game on the line. Or game winners, atleast that’s what game on the line means to me.

    I’m just saying it is not so cut and dry. While Mamba rightfully deserves to top the list, the margin between him and the other assassins isn’t as wide a disparity as some believe. I would be just as comfortable with PP, Ray Ray, Manu, Melo, CP3, Dirk, DW3, etc. taking the shot as Kobe…

    bullcrap melo is the most clutch kobe shoting is terible in the last 24 sec melo has the best %in last 24 sec kobe is even behind lebron!!

    im a celts fan but i would definitely have to give this to kobe,opposed to ray ray(even if my biased nature disagrees), because kobe can make his on shot better then ray can, in most cases ray needs a screen

    1.Kobe 2.Ray Allen 3. Melo. 4.Dirk 5. Durant…and yes kobe isnt far ahead of these guys in the last second shot although if i need a 3 then i def put sugar ray at the top

    Not only that but I think Kobe’s actually the most clutch of all time. Look at the degree of difficulty in his clutch shots. A long, long 3-pointer or a fadaway jumper over a triple-team is inevitable when the ball’s in Kobe’s hands. And that’s with the broken finger and bad knees! The players have tasted the knives and they know better than any of us. And I believe that, yeah, he’s that far ahead of the pack.
