Mark Cuban on NBA Finals Berth: ‘We Ain’t Done Yet!’

Cuban hasn’t had a lot to say during these NBA Playoffs — which his players appreciate — but he couldn’t help himself last night after the Mavs clinched a Finals berth. From the Star-Telegram: “Owner Mark Cuban has been conspicuously silent during the Dallas Mavericks’ run to the NBA Finals. He has avoided the media in the past two series against the Los Angeles Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder. But he couldn’t avoid the ESPN crew on the floor for the Western Conference Finals trophy presentation Wednesday night. Cuban avoided the question about why he has been so quiet. He thanked the fans for their support and ended his turn at the microphone with a proclamation that drew cheers from the crowd. ‘We ain’t done yet!’ Cuban exclaimed. The fans responded with chants of ‘Beat the Heat.’”

Plan your parade route, Mark. Leak it like you did in ’06. C’mon…you know you want to. Do it.

beat the heat? thats disrespect to the bulls haha

  • barnabusb

If Mark thought the refs were biased in 06, just wait until he plays the Heat now. His head is going to explode.

  • http://firespo.com I AM KING

I know dallas remembers Wade. He’s coming for that @$$ mark

  • fruizm

if the Heat do win the series…the finals are gonna be reaaaally good!!

  • Louis

I liked Dirk’s attitude, he just wanted to get back to the locker room, he didn’t care about celebrating winning the west, he only cares about winning the whole thing. The whole team needs that mentality

  • Letmetellu

Yes you are…And im mad Mark Cuban grabbed the mic last night and started talking ish like this is the WWE

  • cramzy

man i need miami to close out tonight. Im so ready for the finals!

Loool Mark taught wade took too many ft in 06 let’s see where it goes with bosh n the king on his side. Beat the heat is kinda disrecpectful since the bulls r still alive. Who are we kidding? We know they’re gonna advance. Beat the Mavs.

“We ain’t done yet!” The Finals haven’t started, Mr. Cuban. “Oh. Then what’s this Trophy for?” This series is going to cause a lot of riffs between me and my gf…

Congratulations to the Dallas Mavericks on going back to the NBA Finals. A trip well earned. By the way,did any one noticed how Russell Westbrook just left without congratulating the Mavs ?

The Mavs haven’t seen a defense this intense yet. And the Heat haven’t had to defend so many threats yet. Should be a really, really fun battle. Can’t wait. They need to close out tonight. Can’t wait for that one either.

in a business’ prospective, heat is goin to win because they can generate more sales. no offence dallas. but the world is unfair. =X

  • Eddie1

If Heat finish this off today, could we see the Finals as early as this Sunday?

@Eddie1. I believe the first game of the Finals is scheduled for Tuesday.

the big three have combined to take 80+ free throws in four games smfh they are living at the line in the playoffs and its gonna be worse in the finals

It was funny how the Mav players left that ESPN lady hanging after the post game celebration.

  • O

Sorry, Mark. You ARE done. The NBA (Stern) is going to hand the Heat this title. It’s just good for business. Plus, Stern doesn’t like you very much.

Mark is a great team owner – and also a douche bag

Wait, Dallas swept the LAKERS, the…… former CHAMP, someone in here mean to tell me DALLAS is going to be swept.GTFOH. It’s going to be a battle between these two teams. Good offense vs good defense. I’m picking Dallas for the first time against this super team known as HEAT. I just think this is the year for the MAVS. I think the refs are spoiling the HEAT stars on the FREE THROW line. I just hope they let these two team play loose and physical.

…well, the mavs have the advantage of having the best player on the court!

Some of the people on this post are living in a fantasy land,if it was about money, then the Lakers would be playing Miami.People have wanted to see a Kobe vs lebron matchup for about 3 years now.Did it happen no.This is not some soap opera the games are decided on the court.Dallas will win better team, better coaching.
