Mark Jackson Interviews for Warriors’ Coaching Job

We don’t have many details beyond this tweet yet, but we do know that former NBA All-Star and current ESPN analyst Mark Jackson has been interviewed for the Golden State Warriors’ head coaching slot. Golden State is reportedly interested in Brian Shaw as well.

True story. I’m still upset the Knicks didn’t hire him before they got D’Antoni. He’s one of the greatest true point guards of all time. He’s been running a team since he was born, so coaching should come easy to him. This would be a good pick up for the Warriors and Stephen Curry.

“Monta Ellis. Slipping through the defense like butter in a baked potato. The baby’s all grown up and he’s coming back to plow the field. The price is right is on and the final showcase is coming up. You won’t see Vanna White here. Now give me a Momma there goes that man on three and let’s get it.”

So he won’t be calling the games? Thank god, he’s absolutely terrible makes me wanna rip my hair out listening to him!

as much as i will miss his commentary during games i would really like to see this guy get the opportunity to be a head coach in the NBA

He was a great point guard, but he’d probably make an absolutely terrible coach. Ever notice whenever he’s asked a question about offense during a game he ALWAYS answers, ” Right now I’d scrap the offense, put the ball in the hands of our best player, and let him go one-on-one and make a play” He’d be Mike Brown 1.5

co-sign Brothaman. I prefer him in the booth. I also feel like he needs to put in some time as an assistant first. I understand the man’s career as a PG is a notch away from HOF but I don’t think that should get you on the fast track to head coach.
