Tom Thibodeau Wants More Whistles for Derrick Rose

Desperate times call for desperate measures, as Tom Thibodeau turned to the media last night to deliver a not-so-subtle message to the refs with Chicago’s season now on the line. From the Palm Beach Post: “It really was my fault,’ [Derrick] Rose said. He felt his final fourth quarter jumper was on-line when he shot it, but ‘just a little short.’ And he acknowledged the challenges of trying to play against LeBron James. ‘It’s hard, where a guy who is running at top speed, can easily catch up to you,’ Rose said. ‘It’s really hard where a 6-foot-8 guy can easily defend you.’ Tom Thibodeau, however, had another theory for Rose’s struggles. ‘He hasn’t been able to get to the line like we thought he would,’ the Bulls coach said. ‘There’s a lot of contact, and he hasn’t gotten calls.’ We’ll see if that has any impact on the officiating in Game 5.”

Well tell your team to quit shooting jumpers they aren’t good at it

I think Lebron was in the back of D-Rose’s mind last night on those last second shots, especially after he blocked Rose’s layup earlier. Rose stopped doing what he does best, which is get to the rim and draw contact or finish, and settled. Right now, the only person that can do that is Dirk.

not too many bad calls in these conference finals, its been exciting to watch now that we dont have onesided officiating going on (like when the lakers are in)and the better teams are definitely winning, see Mr Stern stop rigging it for the lakers and just let the boys play its still great tv!

  • Eddie1

@angus Hah you simpleton. TV Ratings? Is this what you think it’s all about? The lakers ownership offended the illuminati, that’s why they were knocked out in the second round. nothing about great TV or profits. It all goes beyond that.

I think his ankle is bothering him a bit more than he notes.

It’s a new league, better or worse. You can’t fight super teams with jump shooting if your other options are Noah and Boozer. Second scorer, or you’re done…unless you have a 7ft fade-away jump shooter. That might do it.

alot of credit to the officials… stand PROUD CHICAGO, no matter the result derrick did not beg these punks to be on this team….

  • bull22

losing sucks, but our CHICAGO BULLS wont be ranking 15th in attedance next year… BULLS fans are the best and most loyal in the league…. kudos to all BULLS fans who stuck with them thick and thin…
