Carmelo Anthony Surprised By Donnie Walsh’s Departure

Melo was caught completely off-guard when the man who brought him to New York left the Knicks last week, even though it was likely the right move for the widely-respected Donnie Walsh. Newsday reports: “Carmelo Anthony was surprised to hear that Donnie Walsh was stepping down as Knicks president. The Knicks forward said Monday that he was getting treatment at the Knicks ‘ practice facility Friday when he heard that Walsh will be ending his tenure as team president. ‘It was awkward,’ Anthony said when asked how he felt. ‘I was up in Westchester and someone pulled me aside and told me. It caught a lot of people by surprise, because no one knew what was going on.’ Anthony said he has a good relationship with Glen Grunwald, who has been named the team’s interim general manager. He also has a close relationship with Mark Warkentien, the former Nuggets GM who joined the Knicks as an adviser on Jan. 30.”

    Likely the right move?

Whoever comes in now must agree to the terms that walsh did not, namely, that dolan and his homo pal zeke get to over ride and step in whenever they feel like it.

Glen is isiahs yes man, know your knicks history, or get off the pot.

Melo and stat did very little to endorse donnie, even though he brought them to nyc. I write the truth, because you are too scared to. melo is part of caa, caa wants to control the knicks, dolan wants to pretend like he is down, as always, he thinks he can authentically play the blues for some reason. The melo trade was lopsided because dolan interfered, though he has no basketball credentials and walsh is superior to isiah in that respect.

Scott oneal is down with caa so everybody gets what they want except donnie and the knicks fans smart enough to know walsh was the best thing to happen to the knicks since 99.

Time to officially retire the ‘make it happen Walsh’ meme. It was fun while it lasted, RunNGun.
