  Stevenson is such a joke. He’s like that little punk kid on the really good team that does all the trash talking even though he has no real impact on the game. It was J-Kidd that guarded Lebron the most, all Stevenson did was guard Lebron a little bit and hit a few wide open 3s. It’s like since Dirk won’t say anything we have to listen to this punk all the time. I know Lebron will get the last laugh though when Stevenson gets cut mid season, let’s not forget he only played like 5 minutes a game during the regular season and that was with Caron Butler out.

  Great series!! The better team won and I think the extra talking doesn’t add anything to it whether it be LBJ making a not so smart back handed comment about fans then pulling it back or D Stevenson having a dumb shirt made about a player who has much much more talent than he does. Stevenson played well enough with the time he was given and those “couple of 3′s” truly did help the team get to this point. I really hope LBJ doesn’t say anything else for a while and just relaxes, watch film and work out.

  nbk – how much do you bill LeBron for being his spin doctor? He didn’t say “try” to win, he picked up the Heat moderator’s comments about the “3 Kings” coming down to Miami to win “not one, not two, not three…”. It wasn’t a guarantee, but the whole affair was ridiculous. That’s not LeBron’s fault, though, it’s the Heat organization that’s to blame there. They absolutely made fun of Dirk. They tried to spin it a different way after they got blasted by the media, however, if you look at the video of the Saturday press conference, they kept it up while the press was grilling them (correctly) about it. But, because they say it’s the media that was the target, we’re too stupid to figure out what a couple of educational drop-outs were implying. This is the same Dwyane Wade who was illiterate when he started college and had to miss a portion of his freshman year so he could learn to write. But, we’re too stupid to get it. I do believe that LeBron took a lot of unfair criticism in the series, but he and Wade deserve that. They live in a world where everyone kisses their rears and tells them how great they are. Apparently, they are much bigger than their coach, in their own minds. As a Mavs’ fan, I appreciate what Stevenson brings to the team. Haslem intentionally walked out of his way trying to f with the Mavs’ psyche, and Stevenson did exactly what he should have done. You can’t have it both ways – you can’t criticize the Mavs when they lose because they’re too “soft”, and then whine about their lack of class because they don’t let another team push them around. The Mavs won because they’re the better team. They knew they had to get into the Heat’s heads to win the series, and they did exactly that. Game 2 was the beginning of the end for the Heat, and they didn’t have the NBA’s corrupt officiating to pull it out this time.
