Kobe Bryant Still Not Discussing the Mike Brown Hire

During the public introduction of his new charitable endeavor, Kobe Bryant once again refused to talk about his new coach (though, very little should be read into it.) From the AP: “Kobe Bryant had plenty to say about how he wants to help end homelessness among youth in Los Angeles. The NBA superstar had nothing to say about new Lakers coach Mike Brown. Bryant and his wife, Vanessa, appeared together at a nonprofit in Hollywood on Tuesday to announce the formation of their new foundation focused on improving the lives of youth and families in need. Bryant has remained publicly mum since Brown was hired last week over his choice of Brian Shaw, a longtime Lakers assistant under recently retired coach Phil Jackson. In his first public appearance since then, Bryant refused to answer questions about Brown. ‘Right now is not the time nor the place,’ he said in a stern tone. ‘We’re here to focus on bigger issues, greater issues, and that’s these kids that are here at the back. It’s not fair to them. When the time comes, I will address that, but right now is not that time.’ Asked when that time would be, Bryant cut off his questioner, saying, ‘Now is not the time.’”

So if we shouldn’t read anything into it, why are you POSTING this?

So Kobe didn’t go on a parking lot rant about shipping Brown’s @ss outta LA?

If you don’t have anything nice to say… I agree, it’s about the kids, and he’s doing a great thing. But how much you want to bet if it was Brian Shaw or a crazy Doc Rivers sign (ha!), that he’d have a minute or two to say something…

the media has yet to learn when and where to ask certain questions.

wow was it only last week?times going slowly.

are you still pissed that the buss family don’t give a damn about an aging superstar.

Good call Kobe, cause we know there are reporters who found out about the charity event and went to it just to ask “basketball questions.” Then all of sudden if he answers 1 question about Brown, then there’s a follow-up question and so-on until it’s no longer about the charity event. However; 1982 has good point…

Let me find out that Kobe still has some dues to pay.
Did Phil Knight, or somebody, call the Lakers and tell them to clown Kobe into retirement like they did Joe Bryant?
    They’re messing with him, now.
    The fix is on… lol

The title to this post should have been about the charity event, not Mike Brown.
