The Miami Heat came close, but ultimately failed to live up to the hype. Why?
What went wrong for the Miami Heat?

Still a LeBron fan dog.
LeBron does what he does best… choke! He’s a fourth quarter short of a dollar. LOL
The Mavericks is what went wrong for the Heat.
no coach, no ring
This was a tough poll. Every choice seems equally correct.
Heat got outplayed by the Mavs. Simple.
LJ is not MJ
The Heat lost because the Mavericks were a better team. Dallas shot a ridiculous %, there is a reason no team beat them, and they swept the defending champs. Gross, all this blaming the Heat loss on one, two, three players is stupid. The Mavericks won, give them some f*ckin credit
I voted for “Other.” Illuminati.
bad coaching didn’t help either.
Mavs were better in six games!
Two Words: Dallas Mavericks
Dwade couldn’t come clutch either
I don’t think anything went wrong with Miami, they were beaten by the better team.
Plain and simple.
They just sucks.
Plenty of swagger, NO heart.
great mavs defense (particuarly on james, they doubled or played a zone everytime he had the ball), shooting and bench. And for the heat stupid turnovers, couldnt make free throws, defensive lapses especially from the bench (which wasn’t utilized correctly either). so overall the heat looked like the team they were at the beginning of the season and not the team at the beginning of the playoffs.
They should have added an “All of the above” checkbox. Bad coaching,LeBron panicking, no team play, overcoached, great D by Dallas…
Best team won. Period.
the heat were beat mentally plain out
it’s not really what went wrong for miami.. it’s that the mavs played great great great basketball.. let’s not take that away.. think of those come backs they did throughout the playoffs
Someone said the loss can’t be placed on a person but the truth is if Lebron would of performed to his capabilities the Heat would of won. The same guy who blames Kobe when his team loses disagrees though.
No team in the NBA, no player in the NBA would have changed anything about those last 2 games. Dallas just shot the ball better then anyone even could have. Accept it
@NBK……………..I CAN THINK OF ONE PLAYER THAT COULD HAVE A LITTLE SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT THIS SERIES. HOW BOUT THE GOAT?
sorry didnt know caps was on i wasn’t yelling lol
the key phrase in my comment is “in the NBA”
how about all of the above
Mavs beat em…
no rebounders dwayne wade won it with shaq and now they dont have rebounders screw bosh he can rebound the ball
haslem did not get the ball enough, if the heat want to win the need to let haslem do his thing he is the guy for the heat they need to let him make the decisions that will stop the big two and a half fighting between each other.
Dwayne Wade has to be held accountable too because he is the leader of this team.
All I’ve got to say is that I watched LBJ for 7 yrs and never seen him take a “floater” in the paint until this series. Something or someone messed his head up bad.
Is it me, or has nbk been running to Bron Bron’s (and HEAT STAN Eboy) defense an awful lot lately? Essay after essay on SLAM, defending Bron Bron. SMH, so kooky. lol
It’s really “cause and effect” in this. LeBron didn’t play well–that is the effect. What was the cause? Here’s reality–no one team might have had a better three players than LBJ, D, and CB; but the game is 5-on-5, and Dallas HAD THE BETTER OVERALL LINEUP. Plus, if you looked at the first three off the bench for both teams then Dallas HAD THIS FROM THE START. Unlike Chicago and Boston, Dallas didn’t rely on initiating the offense with a penetrating point–and as good as Rondo and D-Rose may be, NEITHER IS JASON KIDD. Plus, neither the Bulls nor the C’s could flat out SHOOT the way Dallas could. A team that moved the ball by the pass, and could put three shooters on the floor? Plus, that zone the Mavs played just messed up Miami. Again, why did Bron not play well??!? BECAUSE DALLAS MADE HIM NOT PLAY WELL.
