John Wall: LeBron, Kobe Need to Do More to Help End Lockout

John Wall seems to believe that if superstars like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James “say something”, the NBA lockout has a chance of being resolved. Reports the WaPo’s Michael Lee: “John Wall wants lockout resolved: ‘We’re going to have to have guys like Kobe, LeBron, the face of the NBA, to step up & say something.’”

Translation: Hurry up guys, runnin out of money here!!!!

  • rkirby

@res.we. did. John Wall is the face of Reebok Basketball. I think he’ll be just fine. Honestly, I just think a lot of these guys actually just want to play basketball

Looks like someone is running low on “make it rain on skrippers” money.

Pshh i remember when lebron made a comment about this lockout, and everyone bashed him. I doubt he wants MORE negative spotlight on himself. And kobe is a vet, he knows what hes doing. No need to give in to the “challenge” of a rookie point guard in washington

What do you want them to say John? Who do you want them to talk to? The players? The owners?

  • robb

John Wall clearly hasn’t been paying attention

John Wall definitely has plenty of money… Reebok Basketball is John Wall at this point. He’ll be fine. He’s antsy though, just like a lot of the young players in the league. The veterans see this stoppage as a well deserved vacation. These young guys want to play ball. Its like the first day of school. The teachers arent looking forward to it but the kids are!

  • T-Money

he has a point. these two are the face of the nba and them just showing up to negotiations in vegas would go a long way in “rallying the troops” and showing a united front to owners and media.

  • president bama

@KHoliday… lmfao!!!!! what school did you go to???

  • EtheKnickfan

Hush! Sit back and learn yourself something young’un.

  • ab40

he’s still in his rookie scale if he made what they’re gonna give him in two years he would not care either. This lockout is about the MLE players who are the easiest to replace. The players know it but they can only tour for so long. Or play these no D pick up games which are becoming extremely boring

@ President bama, I think he’s talking about schools for lil kids.

  • Red Star

JW is a little wet behind the ears!

  • D12FSU

What kids looked forward to the first day of school?!?

  • dahon

He is going, to be an allstar. play with brook lopez.

  • http://www.fullc0urtpress.com KHoliday

@presidentbama @d12FSU — young kids dont look forward to the first day of school? They may not like school after that, but they do look forward to the first day! Wearing all their new clothes and seeing their friends. You know yall were the first two kids on the class line when the bell rang! Cut it out lol

  • HeHateMe

I’m not mad at JW for this…I’ve seen a whole lot of footage of players like him, Durant, and Jennings playing ball everywhere they can just fiending to have the next season start…really shows who’s playing for the love of the game. NBA NEEDS to make this season happen, so much young talent coming up.

  • MLK4Life

There’s nothing LeBron can do. None of the owners want to hear anything from him after what he did last summer and the way he left Cleveland. People would much rather hear from Kobe, Tim Duncan, KG, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce and those kinds of guys.

Kobe want this time off to heal his injuries so he can come back 100% and silence all the haters and doubters!

  • Pindajung

JWall is right. As soon as players of that magnitude walk in the room, people will sit down and listen. All the ego’s, all the opinions, all the little batles for power and ego will melt so some so they can cut through the crap and get to the core, really get something done.

Leaders need to lead. That’s how it works in business and I’m sure that’s is how it works in this situation too.

  • Rainman

lmao @ running low on making it rain on strippers money

  • http://slamonline.com datkid

mlkforlife… you really really hate lebron don’t you?

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/officerbarbrady what

Is John Wall even old enough to get in the strip club to make it rain on strippers?

  • Yesse

Well, sure it might get the owners concerned, but i doubt it will end the lockout. If Kobe and LeBron would make threats about playing somewhere else, i’m sure the owners would get a bit nervous.

  • BBaller

Why can’t we all just get along?

  • http://www.triplejunearthed.com/dacre Dacre

In other news; wifey just bought me the 9 disc starwars blue ray set!?!?!? : )

  • MLK4Life

    @datkid
I actually like LeBron and think he’s a great player. I simply pointed out that owners aren’t exactly happy with LeBron because of how he left Cleveland. Not really about hate at all.

  • http://slamonline.com LakeShow

Nice Dacre, nice. You better have Godfather and the Matrix also. Staples in the bluray community right there.
