San Diego Prosecutors to Investigate Kobe Bryant Church Incident


The San Diego police are handing the uniquely bizarre Kobe church case — which Bryant’s legal team flatly dismissed — over to prosecutors for a closer look, according to TMZ: “A parishioner at the St. Theresa of Carmel Church filed a police report last month against the L.A. Lakers star, claiming Kobe ripped a cell phone out of his hand in church, accusing the man of trying to take Kobe’s picture. Law enforcement sources tell us … the case will be referred to the San Diego City Attorney, but cops think at best it would be filed as a misdemeanor battery, which carries a maximum sentence of 6 months in jail.”

    lol @ 6 months for “battery” for getting mad at someone taking your picture in a church (rightly or wrongly). This reminds me of that moronic cameraman who milked the Dennis Rodman kicking incident by lying down for a solid 20 minutes after a small kick and pretending like his balls were cut off.

    I dont know if that is the case in the states, but to take someones picture, or to record that person on video,in some countries in europe, including mine, you need to have a verbal consent. I am talking about close ups and other shots which breach privacy laws, excluding security cams.

    Only a coward would file charges for doing something unnecessary in the church & not accept the repercussion…. “The devil is a liar”. MAN-UP, if he( KB24) was able to snatch said device out of another’s reach (even worse) the man’s grip without the physical presence of security weighing in. Hmmm…It’s a wrap. Pretty much that sum’s up the fact the plaintiff is without a man’s grip ( similar to wet tissue) & he got exposed playing with a grown MAN’s livelihood.
