Pistons Re-Sign Rodney Stuckey

The Pistons seem to have overpaid for Stuckey, signing the guard to a three-year, $25 million contract. On the bright side, Stuckey has proven himself to be a consistent starter and remains a movable asset with just a three-year deal. The Detroit News first reported the agreement: “The Pistons have agreed to terms with restricted free-agent guard Rodney Stuckey, according to sources . Stuckey signed a three-year, $25 million deal with the Pistons Saturday.”

$25 million? Damn, Pistons management just keeps me amazed every year.

8.3 a year isn’t bad for stuck. Tay was vastly underpaid, I really wonder why he didn’t go elsewhere, I’d have thought many teams wouldve loved having him.

Please trade Rodney Stuckey. For the love of God, trade him. He’s tuuuuurrible.

I mean….he’s amazing and plenty of other teams in the league would love to have him at that bargain price!

Stuckey is a good player…i would have signed him immediately.

That’s not a bad contract at all. If he under performs, you can get rid of him in a couple of years…probably in his contract year and he will still only be like what, 27?

As long as they want to keep not making the playoffs this was fine….

Brandon Knight is pretty awesome on 2K12, if that has any bearing on reality he’ll usurp Stuckey in no time!

If they move him to the SG position and he can excel as a pure scorer then this might not be a bad signing. With Hamilton gone and Gordon not a starter they had to lock-him up in the short-term.

bad deal. all he’ll do is give us a worse draft pick by winning a handful of meaningless games while preventing this team from improving.

just 1 month after the lockout and we are handling crazy contracts again. First to resign Prince + Jerebko, that play the same position as Villanueva and Daye, then Stuckey? Do they remember its a non playoff team last year?
