  Start him at Point Guard ahead of Fisher. Although, Arenas really is a Shooting Guard.

  He was good at the Wizards, playing as a SG. He was always better playing off the ball, then recieving it, and then going off for his shots (remember when he dropped 60 on the Lakers) With Kobe alongside him, well, he would have to change his game a little. He potentially could get a boat-load of assists, and knock down a ton of threes per night.

  As an unabashed fan of Agent 0, I’d love to see him redeem himself. This is probably it for Gil, hope he takes advantage. Given Rose’s back problems as of late, would it kill Chicago to give him a look too? CJ can still run point, but a lineup of Arenas/Korver/Deng/Boozer/Noah would be very interesting to watch. If they spaced each other out correctly offensively, that would be one dangerous half court set. This is given that Arenas is 75% of what he was a few years ago.

  All of you who think Gilbert is a wack, washed up, ballhog ; stop just buying in to storylines and pay attention. With the Magic last year, who was the only one who would consistently look for and get Dwight the ball? Gilbert is not a ball hog, he is just a talented scorer. But with Kobe, Gasol, and Bynum to pass to, he’s gonna make people look stupid for even doubting him. And even if he’s not as good as I think he’ll be, you really think he’s worse then Steve Blake or Fisher? C’mon people, it’d be dumb not to sign him, but i guess the media and fans know more then Kobe…

  Arenas is such a higher upgrade to Derick Fishera at any time, he is
  younger, more athletic especially if he was administered the same treatment as Kobe Bryant (Best Player in NBA, very cerebral, he feels even younger like 26 years old. Please Lakers sign him, even if he scaores 10 points a game. at least it is better than Fisher 2 points in 33 minutes, and he has so much more chance after this treatment of regaining some type of explosiveness,and score 20 and some points, it would be a huuuuuuuuge help. I have lots of respect for Derick Fisher pat accomplishment, but I think unfortunately that his days re almost over. Make Arenas play 28 minutes, Steve Blake 10 minutes, and Fisher 10 minutes or when playing top teams giev Areanas 35 minutes play, Steve Blake 13 minutes. Areans will give you at leat 10 points which is really a help to Kobe Bryant. Pleeeeeeeease!!! Get a three point Shooter JR Smith, Lakers, please do not be dumb to let JR Smith go to Clippers. We desperately nees a three point threath shooter, with him we can become a championship caliber team. Pleeeeeeeeease!!! Change the Bench, it is the worst in NBA, they cannot shoot, nor take lay-ups. Where are Kopono and Murphy at the three point shooting? I do not see them anywhere. It would be a universe of good to change the bench. GOOOOOOOO!!!! Lakers, Kobe Bryant for MVP!!!!

  I think Kobe is looking for any kind of change (read: help). I say go for it – perimeter help is good for them, LO is missed right now. I too wouldn’t mind a few more Hibachi highlights, even if they’re closer to the ground now.

  Arenas is a great move for the Lakers with upside potential that is unbelievable……..Coming home to L.A. with a new location and trying to prove he still has it, can only benefit the Lakers….He can be had for the minimum veterans salary, and you talk about a steal!…..Arenas and Kobe would make a dangerous back court…..This is a no brainer….

  Agent zero would be a great addition to the Lakers. They are in need of an upgrade from Fisher, Blake and the rookies. Arenas, Kobe, Gasol and Bynum could make a lot of noise and would be called the Big 4. This is a much needed acquisition. Even if he is not as good as he once was, he would be an improvement for assists and scoring for the Lakers. Come on Mitch…What are you waiting for?
