Rajon Rondo to Replace Joe Johnson in All-Star Game


Due to knee tendinitis Joe Johnson won’t be able to take part in this coming weekend’s All-Star Game, so Rajon Rondo will take his place. Per the Boston Globe (and a few other Celtics-related media entities): “According to NBA source, Rajon Rondo named to replace Joe Johnson on All-Star team.”

    Rondo should have originally made the cut. Josh Smith most definitely should have been selected over JJ.

    damn smooth REALLY got snubbed… Joe Johnson should never have been been picked over rondo anyway. I would be cool with kyrie irving instead of either one tho. BUT. smooth needs to be an all star. like immediately.

    Could Josh Smith have been the replacement? Sure. But he is such a borderline case, it doesn’t justify some of the outrage here or complaints of the NBA having a vendetta against JSmoove. I’m sorry, he’s been solid. Always been solid. But if you can get 3 reasons why he’s an ALL STAR, I can give you 5 for why he’s not.

    Rondo is second in the league in assists thats has to count for a great deal, is Smith near the top of any statistical category for what is expected of his position? dont get me wrong he puts up solid numbers but solid doesnt make you an allstar. Plus his team is laying ducks all over the place, watching the Hawks play is really painful.

    neither one should be an all star, j smoove and rondo should buddy up and lock there self in a damn gym. Neither one of those can shoot the ball outside of 15 feet, should of went to kyrie
