Jeremy Lin Excited That Tim Tebow is Coming to New York

New York is perhaps the only city big enough to handle both Linsanity and Tebowmania, and Jeremy Lin can’t wait for Tim Tebow to suit up for the Jets. From the NY Post: “It’s awesome. I’m just excited for him and to see what he does,’ Lin said after delivering a huge fourth quarter in the Knicks’ 82-79 win over the 76ers last night. ;We’ll see what happens next year, but I’m excited obviously that he’s going to be in New York.’ Lin has dealt with Linsanity since his emergence weeks ago, and while Tebow has been handling Tebow-mania, he’s now going to have to handle it in New York City. Lin can provide some advice on how to do that — although readers of The Post shouldn’t subscribe to his method. ‘Everyone gave me some advice — they said, ‘Make sure not to read the papers,’ Lin said, laughing. ‘But I don’t want to say that to offend you guys. But that’s what I’ve been told. I don’t really read anything. I think it helps me.’”

Together they will fight the coming apocalypse.

    wow newsworthy!

Will the Jets split snaps or will Sanchez run it all? This confused me cause Tebow could have gone with his hometown Jaguars and he could have easily started but chose the Jets who are in turmoil and face crazy criticism. Again this was weird, maybe he thinks the Jaguars will relocate.

Both stars setting back the march of atheism 50 years by thinking their talent was given by an imaginary bearded guy with power, rather than just plain genetics.
    ‘great’ news.

Tim Tebow is less talented than Sanchez (imagine that), but at least he’s got a bigger heart.

  • riggs

@Red: Jets have runned the wildcat offense before, Tebow would be perfect for it.

Co-sign riggs first comment. Tebow is gonna be teabagging more than a Boston party. Just hope New York doesnt crush this man’s spirit…

c.a. god to most people is not the one you saw on the Simpsons

  • retrobat

Co-sign c.a. I like both players, but it irks me that every decision they make or any happenstance is purely “god’s will” according to them. Dwight falls into this erroneous thinking as well.

I like to refer to Jesus as the Proverbial Jesus, people around me still believe. SMH.

  • c.a.

@MUBWAR icon and symbolism; it was a way of putting all the imaginary friends that people believe in into a bitesize image.

    The point remains.

  • c.a.

@retrobat And with a lack of consistency. Dwight choosing to remain in Orlando, which he ummed and ahhed over and took so much poison off the press, if he had attributed it to “God’ told me to stay in Orlando, it was his will” he would have got a free pass as religion is, you know, the shhhh topic.

  • That Dude

I don’t believe in God, but lets just nip this conversation in the bud right now. It will be pointless and make this thread really really long. Whatever Lin, Howard, or Tebow want to attribute whatever to, they can.

when an athlete thank God after a win, i always wonder if God dislike the other team.

I read all articles related to Lin since 05 Feb 2012. Please be careful while writing comments against any players. Professional practice should avoid being misled by personal biases. A good Example is Stephen A. Smith. He is absolutely unqualified for his position as he utilized his radio program to support certain players he likes personally. He does not know how to keep right boundaries between professional and private life. He should reflect on what he has done in the past and ESPN should review his performance. This is just a personal advice but I believe many readers would agree with me.

I like to think of Jesus as an ice dancer, dressed in an all-white jumpsuit, doing an interpretive ice dance of my life.

c.a. your argument only applies to people that beleive that God is a big man, or something that is in time/space. so co-sign mubwar

Haha I love when religion talks start. Worst topic in the world to discuss. How about, nobody gives a s h i t about your opinion of God and so don’t say anything about it. That’s the way to coexist.
