Report: LeBron James May Have Dislocated Finger

It’s been a tough few days for the Miami Heat, as the team has suffered convincing losses in consecutive games. And now, things may have gotten even worse, as reports are circulating that LeBron James injured the ring finger on his left hand during Miami’s 105-90 loss at Indiana on Monday. ESPN has the details: “The severity of the injury is not known at this point, but sources indicated the finger might be dislocated. The Heat did not practice Tuesday and had no comment on James’ injury. The injury, which is to James’ non-shooting hand, occurred in the first half and did not force James to leave the game. Instead, after having it taped by a Heat trainer, he went on to play 41 minutes, scoring 24 points with nine rebounds while making 9 of 21 shots. He then iced his finger after the game. James already was playing through soreness in his elbow. He is shooting a career-high 53 percent from the field this season, but has made just 40 percent of his shots over the past five games. The Heat host the defending champion Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.”

Just shut him down for a few games.

  • Jayy

It’s okay it’s not like he’s gonna need his ring finger anytime soon.

The Concussion he received after running into Grant Hill is a much bigger issue (i realize he said he is too tough for concussions, but he got one on that play, sarcasm just doesn’t work with a lot of people – especially after the media gets their hands on it)

    Stop biting kobe’s style

  • Brahsef

Lol I’m a Bron fan but that was a good one Jayy

    Lol Jayy

Dislocated joints are just sore as hell. I’d be more worried about that concussion. Heat should have shut him down for a week after that run-in with Old Man Hill. I’m shocked that Miami opted not to shelve him at all.

  • Kadavour

Kobe done f*cked up finger injuries for everyone. You’re welcome.

Lebron missed three games as a Cav with a dislocated finger, the punk will try to play through it like Kobe, but will probably take some games off. BOOK IT!!

I love how people are shutting ‘Bron down and calling him a punk despite there being NO quote from the man himself, anywhere In that article.

  • Ash

He should be sitting out for a couple of game. This would be intrested to see how Miami play without Lebron.

  • OTB

Seriously, if an old as hell Kobe can play with a torn ligament (and at one point a dislocated finger(s)), so can Bron.

  • robb

Lebron having a dislocated ring finger sounds like a bad omen.

  • jake

Aw wookums, you has a booboo?

  • http://nyill.wordpress.com/ O

Didn’t Kobe play with a broken finger or something? LeBron can do it too…

  • Da-Meat-Hook

Man those “ringless” jokes have gotten old.

  • http://www.nba.com VanCityBBall

what does he need that RING finger for anyways….

  • IamYOU

LeBron’s too TOUGH to get a dislocated finger.

This is B Ball. Firgers get dislocated for FUN. Im sure its a challenge hel deal with without sitting it out like most of you Kobesexuals would ,i dont see him missing any games due to dislocated fingers, toes, concussions or being benched for being a greedy cry Mambino beehatch like Lobe Tryant.

  • Drig

    The ring finger………..oh, the irony.

  • Drig

Jokes aside, I’m more worried about whether that head collision with Hill is affecting his play……The ring finger on his non-shooting hand’s injured so that probably won’t cause too many problems. However, if I’m the Heat, I’d rest LeBron so that they can have a close to 100% LBJ and not a hobbling one for the POs. It’s not like they’re gonna get the #1 seed in EC anyways and I’m pretty sure opposing defenders are gonna start smacking that hand real hard which will make it harder for LeBron in the long run. ( Case in point : Kobe. )

  • Mike From Spain

Lebron is tough, he should be in shape and recovered come playoff time. The Heat does not need to field Bron to get home game advantage.

  • RunNGun

I wonder if it was from all that choking?

  • Red Star

    @Jayy & Kadavour LMFAO!!!

  • http://redoftoothandclaw.ca/ niQ

Wow, I know it may just be a dislocated finger but, it’s pretty disgusting seeing everyone take joy from this. That along with the concussion. Concussions are no joke man.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

idk if y’all noticed or not but LeBron has been considerably less effective since the concussion. idk why people think that’s not a big deal. Concussions seriously affect performance, this is a fact.

  • http://slamonline.com LakeShow

Wait, he really got a concussion? I thought he didn’t. What was with the “too tough” comment then?

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

    it was sarcasm.
