Polladaday: MVP?

A number of guys have been playing top-notch ball this season. Thus far, who deserves the always-coveted MVP award?

If the voting took place now, who would get your MVP vote?

    definitely kevin durant…

What do ya know. Majority vote says KD is the Most Valuble Player.

  • Sovann Boyd

    Rajon Rondo

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

What do you know, the majority of people vote based on what they saw on ESPN lately. LeBron James has so clearly had a better season then anyone else in the league that this shouldn’t be remotely close. But emotion and what happened lately always rules over rational logic. Pretty sad really.

  • tomtom

Nbk, agreed bron’s best season ever. Kobe is my guy and I WANT him to win it, but Lebron is the MVP this year.

  • mike

I think Hasheem Thabeet deserves to be MVP.

  • Cody w

Lebron is having a great year. Scoring, assists, rebounds, and steals. The best all around game

  • Ree

Tony Parker must be the most underrated gaurd in league history

  • http://redoftoothandclaw.ca niQ

    No Brian Scalabrine?

  • http://slamonline.com Fut.

I don’t think LeBron or Durant could get MVP this year. Teams are stacked. Maybe Best player, but thats not the award.

KLove all the way. No way TWolves would be anywhere near the playoff race without him.

  • Manda

    SCALABRINE!!!!

  • Sactownking

    I vote Luke Walton

  • Al

Here’s how we can decide. OKC would still be winning if Durant was out of the lineup. Same with Miami and Lebron. Take Kobe out of the lineup. Lakers wouldn’t even make the playoffs. Plus all the clutch shots Kobe has made to win the game for the Lakers this season is remarkable.

  • logues

kobe has missed a crap ton of clutch shots this yr

  • LA Huey

To determine who I think is MVP, I like to consider who would improve a bad team if you placed them on the roster. This would obviously hurt “system” players and give due credit to the most versatile and dominant players.
Let’s use the Bobcats as an example since they pretty much suck at every position. LeBron and Dwight would improve that team the most; in that order.

  • Hart

    Scalabrine?

  • Zoom

I love LeBron ,but if it wasn’t LeBron than KD both of them are having a great year. No Kobe or anyone else!

  • iknowmybasketball

how could you possibly leave out the white mamba???

  • poundtherock

show some love to my man byron mullens. him and that beautiful stache of his deserve some recognition.

  • BBaller

It’s Lebron no question, no debate, no argument,no disputing,no equal, although he gets my vote for MDP ( Most Disliked Player ). Definitely won’t be D.Rose repeating.

  • http://theinboundspass.blogspot.co.nz David

Just like Shaq should have got every award in his prime, LeBron should too.

The guy’s play is just so phenomenal

  • drizzy

SCALIBRINE!!!!!!!!!! HE GETS MY VOTE 4 SURE

  • shm

    KD obviously.

  • Noah O

personally it hink kobe and parker are the two most valuable to their teams. maybe love but i mean you take him out of the lineup they’re still losing because that is what they are already doing

  • http://slamonline.com LakeShow

    MOST VALUABLE PLAYER… Remember that.
This ain’t a who’s better at basketball question. It’s the MVP award. Durant has done more for the Thunder to win more games than James has for the Heat to win less.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

Considering LeBron is Miami’s best offensive and defensive player, leads the team in every statistical category except for blocks and Kevin Durant is only his teams best scorer, averages more turnovers then assists, and isn’t even outscoring LeBron per minute and is shooting a lower %…..uhm that is blatantly false.

It’s been pretty hard to judge the last few months. I’m tied between 3 and that’s LeBron KD and Kobe. I would lean more toward LeBron because he is the leader in points, assists, rebounds and steals for his team. That sh*t cray now time to eat my fish filet!

  • ray

could be tyson chandler hes been a valubale player for new york he plays dfense and can score pretty well too

  • LA Huey

Dwight is MVP if you’re going with the “most valuable to his team” argument. People putting KD over LBJ are acting like Durant’s flanked by a bunch of bums (and not an All-Star PG and the likely 6th MOTY)

  • http://slamonline.com LakeShow

True LA Huey. Dwight is probably the real MVP.

  • IamYOU

^I agree too none the less

  • dazzy

    Bron. End of story.

  • Mick

People who voted for Kobe are idiots

  • tim

    kevin garnett

  • http://Aol QG

    Definitely DwayneWadE…miami is not21-2 @home without him

  • IAMORANGE4EVER

    K E V I N D U R A N T

  • RKJ92

I Voted Scalabrine.. Just Look At His Per 48 Numbers.. Whata Beast!!

  • Golakeshow

    KWAME BROWN!!!!

  • Bimmer

    Kyrie Irving

  • Jose

If i’m playing favorties i vote Wade everday.haha . .I think the whole Drama around Dwight would probably still sway votes away from him. can’t see D12 gettin it because of that. . . If Miami can somehow manage to steal the 1 seed, then give it to Lebron, otherwise KD is the most deserving

  • Iggi

How can any body dinied the the MVP to King James this year?? Makes no sence. K. Durant is having a killer seaon, but clearly LeBron got this one.

  • http://- Adrian

He can post up with any center like Dwight or Bynum, he can shoot the perimeter jumpshot, he hustles for rebounds, he has improvesd his shooting from behind the ark, he has given his the assists that the team needed, his coach, Eric Spoelstra, has a great relationship with him and what more can you say to define a true mvp. Even I would compare him to Wilt Chamberlain’s 1961-1962 season when the Big Dipper averaged 50 points a game. There’s no doubt that Lebron James, the King, has earned his third regular season mvp.

  • Zach Leavitt

I think that sovann boyd should win cause he is pretty beast and he doesnt need steroids like kevin durant who by the way sucks and sovann is only 10 year old

  • Sovann Boyd

True dat except bro im 13
