LaMarcus Aldridge To Have Hip Surgery, Done for Season

After local doctors found nothing, LaMarcus Aldridge demanded a second opinion and found a slight labral tear in his right hip. From the Oregonian: “The Trail Blazers announced that All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge will have arthroscopic surgery to repair a labral tear in his right hip. Aldridge is expected to address the media short at the Blazers’ practice facility. ‘In his most recent MRI, and following further evaluation, it’s been determined that LaMarcus has a slight labral tear and will require arthroscopic surgery,’ acting general manager Chad Buchanan said in a statement. ‘LaMarcus’ priority is that he’s 100-percent healthy going into training camp this fall and we all feel this is the best course. He’s had an All-Star year and his long-term health is the most important thing to consider.’”

These Hip surgeries are f*ckin risky man. He may have hip problems for the rest of his career, they don’t necessarily fix the problem like the doctors say they will.

    bummer

Man who the f*ck is their trainer?

Get the hell out of Portland. That city has the worst luck in regards to nba players. Roy done, Oden done, now Aldridge.

Too early to say the curse continues?

Ail Blazers versus Jail Blazers. Who you got?

  • roman

Too early- Roy and Oden not enough for you to get the hell out!!!!! Stay and your career is over.

Maybe they need an Exorcist. Something is wrong in that stadium

They’re trainer obviously sucks at strengthening and identifying structural weakness. There is no semblance of injury prevention in Portland

There’s a reason why the Blazers keep having injury problems. Goes back to Darius Miles’ knee; heck, even Sam Bowie and Bill Walton.

It’s gotta be something in the water, right?

“After local doctors found nothing.” That says it all.

Seriously LaMarcus, GTFO there! How do ‘local doctors find nothing’ but the next finds a tear? I’m starting to think Conrad Murray is Portland’s team doctor…

Guess this means he’s not playing for the US Olympic team either.

Just a way to lose games and get a better draft pick. :) .

3rd or in my opinion 2nd biggest bummer of the season… 1. BRoy retiring from portland, 2. LAldrigde with this, and 3. Ricky Rubio being out for the rest of the season… but thats just me
