Jeremy Lin Hopes to Return in Game 4 of Knicks/Heat Series

The return of “Linsanity” could happen sooner than previously expected. The New York Knicks’ point guard is hoping for a comeback to the court during the opening round series against the Miami Heat. From the NY Post: “Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin said it was possible he could return for Sunday’s Game 4 as he confirmed he is aiming now to play against the Heat instead of waiting for a second round that probably won’t come. Lin broke his silence and admitted he has playoff fever despite feeling left knee soreness after Saturday’s pivotal workout in one-on-one drills with Knicks assistant coach Kenny Atkinson. ‘I’m going to evaluate at the end of the week and see how I feel,’ Lin said. ‘Hopefully I’ll feel good. Every time I come into the gym, the playoff atmosphere is unbelievable. It’s something I want to feel, and help my teammates.’ Yesterday at AmericanAirlines Arena, Lin participated in practice for the first time since he underwent knee surgery April 2. [...] Lin said he’s extra motivated because last time he faced the Heat he had a miserable outing after facing a ferocious Miami defense designed to stop him. ‘My last game against Miami, I was 1 for 11 and a bunch of turnovers, that’s obviously in my mind too,’ Lin said. ‘I don’t want that to be my last game.’ Lin said he definitely won’t play tonight in Game 2 or Game 3 Thursday when the series shifts to the Garden [...] Lin said the lone concern of a first-round comeback is ‘making myself vulnerable to something more serious. I think when I can take a hit and when I can cut at full speed and not think about it, I’ll be ready,’ said Lin, who will take part in his first contact drills tomorrow.”

He should pack it in for the year and come back next year. Not worth it at all.

with all the blown out knees lately, this might not the smartest moove.

  • stayoutlin

Jeremy should not come back for the season. Knicks is done anyway. Should aim for next season.

The heat will eat jeremy lin alive AGAIN. he needs to keep his @ss on the bench and rest that injury.

  • Kid Dynamite

J-Lin, did you watch game 1? Why would you want to be a part of that?

  • Honduran

What’s with all the negativity? Everyone counting the Knicks out already? It was just one game. I understand the history with the Knicks hasn’t been so great, but I think they can surprise the Heat an bounce back.

Illuminati have chosen Jeremy Lin as the chosen one. He will battle the tide and rearrange the series. He is reminiscent of Michael Jordan, when MJ was playing for the Supersonics back in 92 and 93. They were damn near unbeatable with MJ playing the point.

^^^ I want what Eddie is smoking.

What in the world is Eddie1 talking about?

It’s not just one game. It’s been this way all season. And saying a guy fresh off knee surgery should wait before trying to play a team that destroyed him in the regular season when he was at full strength isn’t negativity – that’s damn good advice.

cosign 1982.. Lin can’t save the knicks here. eddie must be smoking peyote. and nah, they’re not coming back from that lmao

  • @boweezy24

    LeBron Is Illuminati….

True that, kid should think about the future. Knicks gonna get blown either way.

They need SOMEone, ANYone to help out at this point. If he’s healthy why not? You guys don’t understand the pain of being a Knicks fan. There is no “next year” for the Knicks. The first round is all we have, so let us have it. Jerk @ss jerks.

  • adcircus

    it’s such a bad decision lin… don’t force it

The Knicks can’t afford to throw in a turnover king like Lin at a crucial game four of the series. I’m sorry Lin but you are a liability defensively and as far as turnovers go…we gave up 26? On Saturday don’t need to roll he dice anymore.

they need Amar’e to prove why he’s worth 100 mil? Bosh has his hands full at C against Chandler and you can’t dominate Udonis? really 6’8 haslem? this dude will be traded in the off season.

I would rather preserve Jeremy Lin for next season if I way NY. It’s not like that team will be able to add anyone, their entire salary cap is dedicated to 3 guys.

  • bike

After watching what MIA did to the Knicks in game 1, if I was Lin I would fake a relapse.

And nbk those 3 guys are NOT as good as Lebron Wade n Bosh. and to add the fact that those knickerbockers are getting paid combine(51.7 mil) more then the big 3(47.5mil) is insulting.

^ Sadly, MUBWAR is right. MUBS can you speak Arabic?

    i do bro, y?

  • zero

I think he shall rest and just make a good run next year..

I know the Knicks can do something but I love Lin and I dont want him to re-injured again..

  • Jerome

@Eddie1: You need to seek help dude. Your cheese done slid off the cracker.

  • Dingo Rob

Payton inbounds the pass MJ takes it on top of the key, jab step left raises the ball and waits for the Kemp screen, dribble left MJ one bounce two bounces MJ pulls up, Kemp rolls to the hoop, ball is tossed in the air POoooooW “alleyoppp Kemp from the sweet feed from MJ” Super Sonics 92

  • Lin4President

LOL @Jerome. Yeah definitely a bad decision. Can’t rush stuff like that. I know from experience – Knee injuries are tuff.
