personally, i don’t think there’s any problem between stan van gundy and howard BUT i think all the players lost respect to howard for talking about wanting to leave and then changing his mind to into staying.

  • robb

    such a great organization

  • Otis

It gets less and less difficult to dislike Dwight every day

This particular thing shouldn’t reflect on Dwight. It was a private conversation between Dwight and management. Someone in management was pissy enough to leak it. Van Gundy caught feelings, he has been down this road before, so he added to it again. Dwight tried to deny it and save as much face as post trade deadline Dwight could. Shaq said “it’s been done before” because if I’m not mistaken him and Wade did it in Miami to you know who…

  • JUNKIE

is it just me or does it seem like dwight quit on the team tonight?

Come on man. His coach rode on him pre game and y’all think he’s going to come out and dominate. Be real.
Dwight is a pansy, but Van Gundy was wrong. Really wrong. If a player did the exact same thing, basically said that the coach wanted him gone, he’d be labeled a complaining loser.

This is a huge mess in a small town . I don’t respect both men for the way they have been handling this mess. Coach is the coach and shouldn’t air dirty laundry. Dwight is just silly pulling all the crap he’s doing.

  • capostat

Yup, it seemed like Dwight tried to pretend that he was struggling out there. It was probably more a frustrated embarrassment at what he walked into today. Then he decided that he didnt feel like playing tonight.

Anyone else think Otis Smith looks like Dikembe?

    Meh…
    It’ll pass.

…..Stan Van Gundy like 3 years past due being out of the league…..shoulda been gone

  • underdog

Stan shound have taken the high road on this one, and deny everything. On the other hand, DH12 burning down the whole organization and he’s going to leave. I know he said otherwise, but still. He doesn’t want to waste another quality year in a rebuliding team.

The ending was really fun with Kenny saying ´I know some skeletons in your closet´. Shaq ´I go we go´. Good stuff.

  • What

i dont think dwight had any idea what svg was talking about when he walked in

  • http://slamonline.com Ugh

That top video is a microcosm of the Magic’s season: Stan-vs-Dwight-vs-Management, meanwhile a Magic player is on the floor bleeding profusely.

  • ALD

    whats wrong with svg? really

  • smoove

D12 gave the media the Dwade swag

  • Mike Mihalow

Now I want SVG fired too

    @ Ugh

You beat me to the (bloody) punch….that whole scenario was spot on

  • capostat

@What. Dwight did have an idea what SVG was talking about. At the first instant, he tries to extinguish was the “David Ping” thing, trying to laugh off the “rumor” with his coach–Knowing exactly that the reporters were asking him about this most salient piece of Orlando magic news.

  • Fresh Boirdee

That was one of the most awkward interviews I’ve ever seen. Dwight needs a new PR person quick… go take 1000 homeless kids to Disney world or something

  • Marc

Dwight Howard a pansy? lol do you know him personally?

  • Heals

I agreed with Kenny, DH12 was naive. If you’re calling for your coaches head you better make sure none of his “boys” are in the room. Common sense, whom ever told SVG about this simply had a better/longer relationship with SVG than DH12…

    Marc
I don’t know him at all. But only a pansy refuses to make a decision and stick by it. And wants to be liked by everyone. Make a decision, stick with it, deal with the fallout. That’s how men are supposed to behave.

  • fruizm

Was it me or were Magic fans booing Howard almost at the end of the game when he shot a free throw…

  • Ash

I don’t think what Stan Van Gundy did was appropriate

  • LA Huey

    This is entertaining.

  • -Mas-

I think SVG did the right thing! FCuK it! HE knows he is getting the ax unless they win the championship. That’s not happening so you might as well call it how you see it. Don’t let the team “D’antoni” your ass out of a job. The NYK got their coach fired. No big deal right? Well SVG was already punked once. Remember the Heat? Well he won’t go down that easy the second time around. Shaq is a D-bag a HUGE D-bag.

  • http://allanzuss@gmail.com Mendel

Shaq said they “bush leauge” WORD!!

  • Justin G.

Personally, I love what Van Gundy did. There’s only so much a guy should have to put up with from this whining clown and everyone has a breaking point. Like others have said he probably figured “F*ck it and f*ck this guy”. Coaches have such short leashes it seems as it is and enough is enough. @AllenP…Dwight IS a complaining loser
