Chris Bosh Back in Miami for Birth of Child, Status for Game 3 Unknown

There’s no telling at the moment if the Miami Heat will have the services of Chris Bosh for Game 3 tonight in New York, since the forward flew back to Miami last night to be with his wife and their soon-to-be born child. Per the AP: “Heat forward Chris Bosh may miss Game 3 of Miami’s Eastern Conference first-round series in New York on Thursday after being summoned home because his wife was preparing to give birth. The Heat were told late Wednesday that Bosh had to return home. Bosh left from New York on a private plane, and his wife, Adrienne, posted a photo on a social media account saying ‘hurry home.’ The Heat have not ruled Bosh out for Game 3.”

I hope he’s out, because everytime Bosh is out LBJ and Dwade take their game to an even ,seemingly impossible, higher level and I would love to see LBJ or Dwade go nuts at MSG, my favorite arena for visiting teams to play.

Best wishes to the Bosh family on the birth of their child. Forget basketball. Great moment for Chris.

Tremendous moment for Chris and his wife, as well as the scientific community.
The first ever half-dinosaur, half-human child. An incredible leap forward in genetic coupling.

    Jurassic park 4!!!!!

hahaha god bless though, bball aside thats always good news

Actually, the heat lose a lot when chris bosh is out. Wade and Lebron overlap a lot, but no one can replace CB. when bosh dominates, the heat VERY RARELY lose.

    @eyal Truth.

His wife noticed a small hole in the egg.

I usually don’t approve of Chris Bosh dinosaur jokes, but all of these are MONEY!

Quality comedy on a Jeff Dunham level.
    congrats guys.

Good luck to the bosh family hope the baby is healthy.
I will miss bosh tonight if he doesnt play.
Like eyal says “when bosh dominates, the heat VERY RARELY lose.”

Hope its a boy because if its a girl shes gonna be one ug…. nevermind! LOL! Congrats CB!

I wonder what the general public’s sentiments would be if a high profile player missed a game 7/pivotal game in the finals for a life milestone. I know VC got flamed for attending his graduation prior to game 7 against the Sixers, and he actually played that night!

@Eyal and Asad….uhhh not truth! The Heat have had the #2 spot two consecutive years with the lineup of CB, LBJ and D3. Is their record better with Bosh and 1 superstar? I think so. But to say they lose “a lot” when Bosh is not in the lineup is inaccurate. And definitely congrats to Chris Bosh and the Bosh family. Definite blessing. Enjoy the moment.

apparently they named the baby Little Foot

  • LA Huey

Meat Hook, good question. I know it’s a life event but pivotal playoff games are tough to excuse a player for missing. I know life happens but NBA players only have about 2 months out of the year we’d consider can’t miss. But I wouldn’t call Game 3 of this series “pivotal” though….
On another note, Heat are better off missing Wade or LBJ than missing Bosh.

Bosh should come back and drop 40+ on the knicks for his kid.

  • Da-Meat-Hook

Well said, LA Huey. I think it’s safe to say that we’d all have something different to say if he’d actually miss a pivitol game.

Now bosh’s kid can make cameo appearances in LBJ’s post game interviews too!
